WASHINGTON – On the eve of his visit to the Middle East, US special envoy George Mitchell threatened that his country would freeze its aid to Israel if the Jewish state failed to advance peace talks with the Palestinians and a two-state solution.

If he does, it would go a long way in reinforcing Britain's bold response to the question of the war criminals visits last week, momentarily knocking Netanyahu out of his pulpit and throwing him into his typical fiery frenzies of self-righteous indignation ("War crimes? What war crimes?").
Hopefully, Hillary and Mitchell will present a united front that will let Israel know it's the dawn of new day that will put an end to apartheid and occupation in Palestine. A good place to start would be disappearing dollars. Without US support, the Zionists would be forced to abandon their genocidal barbarism and start behaving like the civilized people they claim to be.

[ In Reply To ..]The zionist movement has a pretty strong lobby in Washington (makes me wonder about the loyalty of politicians who share dual citizenship with Israel), and I, too, hope Mitchell and Hillary present a united front. It takes a strong administration to take on Israel and call it as they see it, after they've been placed on such a pedestal for so many years now.
