DT is dangerous--Blanket discrimination

Posted: Jan 10, 2016

The only thing she did was dress differently.  She did not speak, she did not do anything that was forbidden.

I cannot understand why anyone would support a man who allows this sort of discrimination at a campaign event for the office of President of the United States.

She was interviewed later and recounted some of the things the Trump supporters said to her.  Obviously, they have little to no experience with anyone who does not look just like them and have the same prejudices they do.  Why would anyone support people like that?

DT is a performer that seeks attention.  Then the media gives him attention.  Generally speaking the people of the U.S. want to be just like the performers who get attention  Vicious circle and sad state of affairs for our presidential candidates.

I understand why Bernie Sanders does not get the press DT does.   He refuses to play act.  He does not run a comedy monologue for his campaign stops.  He discusses real issues with backbone and credibility instead of fear-mongering and talking up his poll numbers.  DT is like the tabloid at the grocery store.  People can't keep their eyes off of it, but "most" don't take it seriously.  Every now and then you find the one screwball relative that really believes that stuff, but most don't.

I am starting to appreciate John McCain a lot more when I think of him gently correcting that woman at one of his rallies when she said Obama was a Muslim. Trump should have so much class.

I makes me happy when Obama will address his hecklers and I have seen both Sanders and Hillary reach out to their protesters and listen politely.
I have to repeat myself. Trump = no class.

Wish I could like this 100 times!! - The Rump = No Class. SM

Money does NOT buy class, decency, tact, courtesy, respect for others, etc. His grandstanding and loud, crude, rude mouth will have us in a war right off the bat.

As someone else suggested in another thread, he'll say something completely without restraint and some foreign official will take offense, and there we have it.

He's a loudmouth Rump.

You are absolutely right about McCain - He is a real straight arrow

For the most part.

That action of correcting that crazy lady turns out to be tremendously courageous since NOT ONE of his fellow Republicans EVER has done the same. They just say it's not their job to set the record straight (especially since those crazy, deluded and prejudiced people will be voting for them, of course).

Standing O for Mr. McCain, whose worst mistake was his VP pick, but after a while even he realized that too.

It's not as innocent as the leftists are trying to portray it as...

"Nice publicity stunt attempt CNN. Here is the video:"

"As was expected and proven by the video, Trump’s supporters conducted themselves very well. Imagine if she was a Christian attempting to protest in a Muslim country, and what would happen?"

She had every right to be there, she was quiet and polite - loyalty allegiance

It does not matter if she is an activist, she behaved very appropriately. It is Trump's handling of the crowds that is disgusting.

I saw at a rally recently, people were made to declare they were loyal Trump before getting in.

What kind of president would that be?

Yes, at the Trump rally in Burlington Vermont last week...sm - VTMT

people were asked to declare support of Trump or they were denied admission. Some people that did get in had their signs torn up by the Trump supporters. The Donald responded by saying to the crowd "Take his coat and kick him out into the cold. It's 10 below out there. Tell him we'll mail it back in a few weeks". Trump's campaign gave out 20,000 tickets for a venue that only holds 1400 people. The Bernie Sanders rally outside the theater was amazing! It was actually pretty warm for Vermont in January, 25-30 degrees, not 10 below! There were lots of homemade signs, a band, candles, and lots of enthusiasm from the crowd of all ages.

Posted below before reading everything that had come in...again, we repeat.

It looks like it was a really nice Bernie Sanders rally.

spread the good word that we have learned through experience. Indeed we are his original grass roots. His integrity, compassion and common sense are a big part of why we support him and think everyone else should too. Of, course there are exceptions but they do not deter the Bernie Posse!

Totally bogus. Learn to spot dirty tricks even - or especially when played by your side. nm

that his people didn't do that, they didn't get the black guy down on the floor and smack him around, that he didn't approve of the guy saying "light him up," that he didn't approve of the Muslim woman being escorted out.

But, no, he always defends these actions. He's afraid of losing the weird bunch of supporters he has.

I suppose rightly so, it would not sway any of us who are offended to actually vote for him if he did condemn these actions, it might just prove that he is a decent human and worth life.

Depends very much on the circumstances and - what he knew or knows as FACT.

I'm not privy to any of that, and neither are you. I do know you don't jump out and start making a lot of pronouncements until you understand the incident thoroughly.

Not fast enough for the impatient...or those who don't like Trump in the first place and are happy to smear any candidate but their own with as much mud as they can load on the brush.
He has been at the rallies and has made - rude/absurd comments

affirming the activities that happened. The reporters give him the settings and he says things like, "maybe they deserve it," and "I take care of my people."
and "don't give them their coats," let them freeze - sm

They actually screened people in VT before letting them into the rally. So much for independents making a choice. He sent them to the street to caucus with the Bernie supporters. Stupid Donald.

fiance has been having problems with a co-worker.  This co-worker punctured one of our car tires and has made threats to both fiance and to me (through him).   what a piece of work.  He has talked to HR and his union rep who do nothing.  Now, the co-worker has started a campaign taking it upon himself to get my fiance fired for not doing his job.  Fiance works in a meat packing plant throwing boxes of meat.  He is 47 years old.  The co-worker is 35.  ...

Gay Discrimination Legislation In A RepublicanFeb 27, 2014
Will the Republican Right win the anti-gay battles in Missouri, Kansas, Ohio, Mississippi, Idaho, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Oklahoma? We know that is what the Republicans really want, or will it crumble from the pressure of Big Business or the bean/vote counters? A Missouri state senator on Monday introduced legislation like Arizona’s that could provide cover for businesses to deny service to same-sex couples. In Georgia, two versions of a similar bill in the state House and Senate are ...

Is Discrimination In Our Public Schools Acceptable?Feb 21, 2014
I am appalled that in 2014 this question even is asked.  Apparently there are those that do not think the government should be involved in matters of discrimination.  If not the federal government, then who?  Anti-discriminaton is a federal law and needs to be enforced just like any other law.  Below on this board there is a post regarding an article of outrage because the Departments of Justice and Education sent out a letter to schools regarding discriminatory punishm ...

What would be the solution? They won't negotiate, that's a fact. Sanctions will not work. That's also a fact. Kim want to murder all of us and short of attacking first, they are well on their way to becoming a danger to the world. Reports have said that CA and AK are getting ready for attacks. Probably the whole west coast is, but NK is bragging they can hit the east coast, too. Reports are that they have 60 nucleaer-ready warheads. A ICBM tested earlier this year could hit t ...

Dangerous Hypocrisy Of The RightJun 04, 2015
The rhetoric of religious freedom and the 'war on Christianity' -- so often used as a justification for discrimination against LGBTQ people -- has nothing to do with religion or faith. While it is painted to look like an argument for the freedom of conscience, it is a medieval attempt by a group of people with money and power to assert control. How do I know this? Just ask yourself how many times right-wing 'religious freedom' activists stood up for the rights of Muslims. Oh, ...

10 Reasons Why Flu Shots Are More Dangerous Than A Flu! (just Sharing Not Debating)Nov 29, 2011
The verdict is out on flu shots. Many medical experts now agree it is more important to protect yourself and your family from the flu vaccine than the flu itself. Let’s take a look at the reasons behind this verdict: 1.) There is a total lack of real evidence that young children even benefit from flu shots. A systematic review of 51 studies involving 260,000 children age 6 to 23 months found no evidence that the flu vaccine is any more effective than a placebo. Also the shots a ...

Obama's Manning Decision: Obama's Dangerous Move Reveals Scary Take On National SecurityJan 18, 2017
The commutation of Chelsea Manning’s prison term will forever be a blot on President Obama’s legacy. Just as the pardon granted Marc Rich by President Clinton on his last day in office became a totem of the odious pay-to-play money grubbing of Bill and Hillary, l’affaire Manning will be an enduring reminder of Obama’s constant pandering to special voter groups and mindless adherence to a progressive agenda.
