outlandish statements such as these are based strictly upon paranoid ideation and speculation running amok. I hear Mitt Romney has a "wait-and-see" plan...meaning, "Wait until I'm elected, then you'll see. That's not good enough for me. Neither is frozen Congress and their inaction.

I bet you support the Lieberman/Susan Collins plan and McCain's amendments, which the EO is modeled on.

I'm not going to feel safe regardless, but the President needs to do something before the disaster, not afterwards as in 911, which could have been avoided.

The time to prepare for things like this is when you have time to consider options and move on the best ones.

I'm an independent. I have no political heroes on either side, nobody to defend or attack as if my life depended on it.

As far as the executive order is concerned, people who like President Obama will view it favorably. People who don't wont. If he doesn't do it, he will be attacked by those who don't like anything he does or doesn't do. So I hope he considers all of his options, gets advice from all appropriate sources, and then does something.

We are at risk in these areas.It's not a matter of 'if' but 'when' it happens.

This is in response to the filibuster of the BIPARTISAN bill for cybersecurity. I see we're still having trouble counting to 60.

I guess you think our nation's security should be left up to the private sector who simply won't do these regulations on their own because it will cost them a buck? Didn't we just witness what happens when you do that with wall street? I know...how about we dissolve the military and just tell folks that if you feel like fighting for your country, do so on your own dime. Of course, we'll have to get rid of all those planes, ships, missles, etc. cuz nobody's gonna pay for the upkeep of that.
