What is wrong with this picture? What should be done? Now I heard, but I can't verify it yet, that another rancher was killed yesterday. Should troops be sent to secure the border? Should illegals be shot on sight (as some ranchers are ready to do)?

NEAR PORTAL - Neighbor ranchers of the slain Robert Krentz say they had been warning U.S. officials for years that somebody would be killed if they didn't gain control of this dangerous smuggling corridor where armed burglaries have become a daily occurrence.
Now, they're demanding immediate action.
Krentz, a longtime rancher, was shot and killed Saturday in Cochise County, by a likely southbound smuggler, who authorities believe escaped into Mexico.
"The Mexican outlaws have total control, and it's going to get worse," said Ed Ashurst, whose 53,000-acre ranch is just east of the Krentz ranch. "There is going to be more bloodshed."

An Arizona man who has waged a 10-year campaign to stop a flood of illegal immigrants from crossing his property is being sued by 16 Mexican nationals who accuse him of conspiring to violate their civil rights when he stopped them at gunpoint on his ranch on the U.S.-Mexico border.
Roger Barnett, 64, began rounding up illegal immigrants in 1998 and turning them over to the U.S. Border Patrol, he said, after they destroyed his property, killed his calves and broke into his home.

I say the ranchers have every right to shoot to kill any illegals who cross onto their property without permission. Illegals aren't supposed to be crossing over in the first place (break law #1....#2 they come onto private property of the owners who have every right to protect themselves, their family, and property.
I'm sick and tired of caring what happens to these people. NO, all of them are not coming here to find better lives. Many are fleeing because they are criminals, involved heavily in drug smuggling, and the lists of crime goes on and on.
Mexican nationals have NO civil rights in this country in the first place, so the fact that they were even allowed to file a lawsuit is sickening enough. These folks laugh at our laws because they know no one is doing anything to stop them. It has been up to the governors of the states to send national guards to cover the borders of their states and I say all the guard should be given orders to "shoot to kill". If they see them crossing (and they can see them even at night), they don't have to worry about being prosecuted by their own govt for doing their job, and after illegals realize they will be shot or killed if illegally crossing the border, I guarantee many won't take the change. But when they see they can actually file a lawsuit against the very private owners of the land they squat on, steal from, and take the lives of the owners and run like corwards back across the border, what's to stop them.
A close friend has been a sheriff on one of the U.S. border towns for over 25 years and he said the problem with criminals, the drug landlords, and everything else in between coming quite boldly over the border and just walking into his town has made crime go WAY up exponentially. He said years ago unless they were stopped (even if that meant shot), this was going to get worse and he was going to see the drug cartels on his soil in his town trying to intimidate and cause fear among all of his town, which he is now seeing. We are now hearing just that on the news.... these people are terrorizing in their own country and they have no problem doing so in this one because, after all, they see no one stopping them.
I have no problem with setting up patrols to shoot to kill. See how fast a lot of that crap stops.

That is the thing that Obama is working on even as we speak. He has rammed socialized medicine down our throats and totally blew off the 70% of the American people who said NO!. Now that they are looking for heads on a platter in November, Obama, his minions, and sycophants now need to shore up their voter bas using the welfare rolls, DMV rolls, unemployment lists etc to register everybody to vote. Who cares if they are illegal, who cares if they are conviceted felons. Either way, they are not eligible to vote.
This goes along with the fact that DHS, FBI, and a bunch of other alphabet groups raided a "radial" Christian milita. What about the documented jihad training camps in upstate New York? No, they would rather cater to the illegals and the "peaceful" Muslims than protect the American citizens who they swore to protect and defend from enemies foreign and domestic.
In my opinion, that rancher was entirely within his rights to defend his property. If you read the whole article on the one who got shot, he was on his ATV and it was still running when they found his body. Anybody on the border like that has a right granted to them under the Constitution to defend themselves by any means necessary. If that means invoking the 2nd Amendment, then so be it.
