A Better Solution to America’s Immigration Problem: End birthright citizenship.

Posted: Nov 21, 2014

Sounds like a great start!  Or quite possibly we could enforce our current immigration laws and become more strict, like other countries do, regarding illegal aliens who enter the country without the proper documents?  Is that such a difficult task?  I think not.

Boy do I totally agree. That was never meant to include illegals.

This was only to include blacks and American Indians since neither had a choice in what happened when this country was built.

I am still of the opinion that all illegals need to leave. I mean what sense is it to have a law if you just give them amnesty. They are destroying our culture and making our country like theirs. So are the Muslims trying to enact their laws instead of ours.

If someone comes to this country it should be legally.

The parents of children who were brought here should be accountable to their children, not the American system. Again it was their parents' decisions so they should be angry with their parents if they end up back in their home country.

I am sick of them always saying that we can't deport these people. We can. If they hold jobs, they can get their affairs in order and then leave. We can escort them out of the country and make sure they don't come back.

Honestly, you can see through decades of this madness how now we are in real danger from these very people. Educate them to be doctors, dentists, nurses or some realistic thing, but stop giving them free reign in our colleges to take courses to be computer whizes, etc. They are going to use it against us. That is not the only thing. Through the years, we have watched them take over our jobs and thus born and bred Americans and those who came here legally can't get the kinds of jobs they went to college for let alone even menial jobs.

At any rate, too many in this country marry women or men and then become automatic citizens when they have a child together.

I rue the day we ever started this thing. President Eisenhour was the only one who called them wet backs. He along with a few other presidents tried to curtail this neverending border hopping, but to no avail.

Wait till ISIL or ISIS comes over the border or some terrorists. We will see real devastation as well as loss of life.

If we don't start to take a real stand on things our government is trying to change (most in their favor and not average Americans) then we will see nothing more than demise of our country and its goals, values and laws not to mention our culture.

We started this country with immigration. My ancestors fought in the RW, CW and other wars. I think me and my family have paid to be Americans. I am proud of their effort to fight and often die for our freedoms.

Freedom is a precious thing, but not to be just given away to anyone coming here.

Think of the diseases brought across the border as well as the criminal element. I feel bad for our border patrol that they are being hamstringed.

What happened to the welfare of those of us who have lived here hundreds of years and have always done the right thing, paying taxes, etc. Welfare and other benefits should not be given to these illegals, but you know they will. Then if someone who has been born and raised in this country goes to apply, the money and help won't be there.

I really get so depressed seeing our country go downhill like this in the eyes of the world and its own citizens. How one man and a traitors like Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid can get by with doing all of this is unreal.

I do not feel that one man should have that much power in the Senate to hold up hundreds of bills that should have been voted on.

Honestly, if Hilary Clinton or some such Democrat gets into the WH this time, I will positively give up.

We have two years left of Mr. O and he scares me to death what they will allow him to get by with. However, he is trying to goad lots of lawmakers into a really dangerous situation. He thinks he is beyond rules and laws. He makes his own and this scares me.

Are you aware that the Senate....sm - Rosie

passed a bipartisan immigration bill and "one man" in the house (John Boehner) has refused to bring it to a vote? If not for him, the president would not have issued an EO as the bill had sufficient bipartisan votes in the House to pass.

Why don't you tell us the whole truth, please. - sm

I will read your article in a short while. This is one thing I never even thought of. Don't know what it means yet, but will read the article and give you my thoughts shortly.

Thanks for posting this. I always love to read about ideas I never heard of or thought about.

My thoughts on this - Mrs. Tingles - sm

Okay, read the article and gave some serious thought to it. Put aside my conservative outlook on issues and just read it with no affirmative or negative emotions.

My first and foremost question about the whole situation in a nutshell whether its children or adults, men or woman, my question is who is going to pay for them. I have to pay for housing, which means I need a job to be able to pay my bills. Since these people are not working how are they going to pay for their housing, electricity, food, etc. If I have to pay for it, how are they going to pay for it. I'm sure rental buildings don't rent apartments for free or grocery stores don't give out free groceries. Electric company giving free electricity.

Second, they keep talking about them coming here, being given green cards and being able to work. Work where? More and more Americans are finding themselves out of jobs? So is the presidents plan to put all Americans out of work and give their jobs to the immigrants? If that is the case then what is his plan for the Americans that he is putting out of work? Is he going to allow us to start collecting social security earlier in life because he has now put us out of work, or is there another fund somewhere that will give American citizens free money because he has put us out of work? I know he has cut full time work status to part time jobs and those people are struggling to make ends meet and most of them not able to make it.

I'm sure I will have other thoughts/ideas about this later, but those are my main issues. How are they going to pay for things (in a country that is going bankrupt) and housing, food, electricity, clothes, etc is not free) and what is going to done for the Americans that lose their jobs to be given to the foreigners that come to our country.

Oh yes, lastly, my question is where does it stop? I just read an article this morning that there are people from other countries making their way to Honduras and then here. So is America now to house everyone in the world? How much more are going to come here. The country is only so big and there are limited resources. I'm all for people making their lives better, but at the expense of ousting the people here and making their lives worse? My next question would be, okay if you've got say 500,000 people each year or however many the number is now up to) they are coming here. That means 500,000 Americans will now be out of work to give their jobs to the people coming in. What are we supposed to do? Are they going to start lowering the cost of housing, food, electricity, and every thing else so that now people can live on part time wages. Somehow I doubt that.

The article kept talking about men and women grateful for the opportunity to live and work in the US. Well that is all fine and good if we have an economy where there are excess jobs, but right now the economy is tanking. More jobs are being shipped overseas, no new full time jobs are being created and more full time jobs are becoming part time. I don't know about you, but I don't think it is fair if I'm told, your job was full time but now you have to share with someone from another country to be equal to them. Part time does not pay my basic necessities. If you are going to throw me into half the amount of hours I used to be in, then you need to lower my bills by half, to even it out.

So those are my thoughts on the article and situation in hand.

That would make EVERYONE "illegals." - (You and I included.)

It does not state that whatsoever. I would suggest reading it again.

'Circumcision Certificate' Could Be Used To Prove CitizenshipApr 19, 2011

Number Of Those Wrongly Given Citizenship Higher Than Initially ReportedSep 21, 2016
Washington (CNN)— The number of individuals who were supposed to have been deported but were instead granted citizenship is far higher than was initially reported by media covering the Department of Homeland Security Inspector General's office report on the matter. On Monday, the Inspector General reported that 858 individuals from "special interest countries" -- meaning countries that are considered to be "of concern to the national security" of the US -- were supposed to have been de ...

Whoops! The Department Of Justice Admits That It Misunderstood U.S. Citizenship LawFeb 27, 2015
We all know that immigration law is complicated. We all know that human beings make mistakes. What we don't expect is that our government can't figure out who its own citizens are. But time and time again, the government disappoints. The latest culprit is the Department of Justice (DOJ), which employs the most powerful attorneys in the country. The DOJ has the authority to issue deportation orders. In a recent decision, the DOJ admitted that it has been misinterpreting ...

A Solution!Mar 15, 2011

A Possible Unemployment Solution?Nov 04, 2010

Two-state Solution Has Been Offered By Israel Several TimesJan 01, 2017
