Lysol gets the award for dumbest ad of the year. They are advertising their dispenser that keeps germs from getting on your hands when you are washing them by automatically dispensing soap when it is activated by hand motion or whatever device they have implanted in the dispenser. What they are really saying is that their "soap" is not strong enough to kill those germs that are on someone's hands before they wash them. Make this item money waster #1 on your list.

[ In Reply To ..]It would seem to me that what they are saying is that people's hands are germy when they touch the pump to dispense soap. Every time I read an article about the germiest places in the bathroom, they always say that it is the sink handles rather than the toilet. Besides that, the antibacterial products usually state that they kill 99.9% of bacteria. Another thing that I do not get are people who use hand sanitizers in lieu of washing their hands . . . don't they read the directions for use on the bottles? These products are made for use after washing your hands.
Now, for the stupidest commercial award, I have to go with the Steak & Shake commercials where the employee is talking to his hat . . . and the hat is talking to him.
