She was rushed to the hospital. At her age with any surgical procedure would be better if she could have had it done in hospital. ;

code. Too bad. The advantage to a surgery center is not being exposed to the hospital-born bugs but if something goes wrong you have a ways to go for help. Wonder if she had propofol/Diprovan? A lot of people can't tolerate it and will desaturate on it. Most common with uvuloplasties and T&As. Need to be quick, get em in, and get em out from under the anesthesia. They can monkey around at the surg center giving support and observing the patient, but once that desaturation occurs it throws them into a respiratory crisis that is minutes away from a complete crash and a full code. Time is a factor. Even when their sats come up they'll be shaky for a while and in danger. The body struggles to right it and compensate as long as it can, then it hits critical mass and crash. I mean up to 20 minutes or more after the initial insult. If that is what happened to her. I'm only saying it's more common than you think. oral surg at the dentist its usually gauze obstructing your airway. oops,

Well, I went Monday to my cardiologist and he put me on new diuretic. So far it works in the morning, but I swell in the afternoon and evening. If two once a day do not work, I have to take four (two twice a day) and two potassium. I just wish something would work.
