finding myself pondering the signs

of the end times. In my mind there is no doubt we are seeing the signs of the end times. Of course my grandparents and parents have said this over the years in response to certain issues, but wow, looking at the events over the past 2 years has really opened my eyes. Government and financial breakdown, unemployment and despair, morality breakdown, natural disasters.....all increasing at an alarming rate. Sometimes I find myself hoping for the rapture. Of course I'd like to see my children grow up and experience all that life has to offer, but I also wonder about what things will really be like when they are my age and beyond. I'm not depressed, just ready for the better life I believe is waiting well beyond this earthly existence in Heaven with my Creator. Anyone else out there feel as I do?

[ In Reply To ..]I was reading a book about this recently, and it says that God is setting the stage, like a play about to begin with the curtains closed, but you can hear the preparations being made behind them. I don't fret about what's going on in government and around the world because of this.
All prophecy has come to pass up to the rapture. This is the very next prophetic event. Very sobering!

I've told my daughter about how Jesus may come for a "surprise visit" since she was tiny, it always brings a smile to her face when she's upset or grumpy.... Sometimes she'll get up and just yell, Jesus, we're ready for you, come get us! She's 8. My fear is that it will happen during the teen years, and I won't be able to keep her as in love with Jesus as she is right now.

I don't know when it will be; today, tomorrow, or 20-100 years from now, but I'm certainly looking forward to Jesus' return.

My mother and grandmother used to say the same thing and "soon" to me is not 70 or 80 years but I do have faith that He is coming and I do believe the time is getting nearer. With the country in upheaval, the earthquakes, floods and disasters, terrorists everywhere, drugs rampant, homosexuality being expressed as normal. The Bible says these things will happen in the "end times." I just know I can't wait to see my Savior. :)
