So sorry, Sad. I just lost my little love on Jan 2 - Dempsey's mom

Even though this is the 4th dog for which we had to make that heart-wrenching decision, the pain is just as excruciating.

The only thing of Dempsey's I've given away so far are the Costco milkbone-type treats he loved so much. I have been adding water to his bowl because I cannot bear to see a dry bowl when the water evaporates.

I have not experienced the death of an ex-spouse, but I believe you when you say how hard this has been for you. You may not have seen him in 40 years, but he was a very important part of your life for at least 6 years.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my grief with you and let you know I am going through it now along with you.
