And, yes, 20 years ago we did quite well. That is when I saved at least 50% of my income because I did not want to leave anything to chance. Could I start an IRA now? Yes. I continue to make contributions to my IRA. So, yes is the answer to that. I also know MTs from the good times who spent everything they earned and made fun of me for saving, and now are sorry they did.
