The first blow was when Trump got in and all the US MTSOs decided screw it, let's just fire everyone and make 'em work for peanuts as ICs, meanwhile sending most of the work to India.

Now I make a fraction of what I did, am "self-employed" at a way lower rate than I got as an employee (that's why they did it, don't you know, they didn't want to have to pay minimum wage and benefits, and other pesky things like that).

I highly doubt there are many MTs with 401Ks left, if they are they are frantically holding on to them and probably not adding to them since the only jobs left are ICs for stingy, rotten companies that are subcontractors for Nuance.

Good luck to those who still have 401Ks, but honestly I think most of us would rather have a much better government that has a plan for COVID, has a safety net in case you are in trouble, and has a decent healthcare system since most of us have no employer anymore.

Also, my personal income taxes will NOT increase because I do not make much. Hopefully, with Democrats in office they will not penalize us poors anymore, make the 1% pay a bit more, they had that huge tax cut after all.

Cost of gasoline/energy? Not really a big deal to me, I work at home. Also, I want the money to go into new and clean technology like solar.

Grover Norquist is just a jerk.
