MT living in van - Now ill and cannot work - Help?

Posted: Jan 21st, 2020 - 11:50 am

I have a few months to go before SS begins issuing checks.  Until that time, I have been deliverying for Postmates which has given me ability to pay my bills.  When unexpected happens or I come up short, I request help.  I have been doing this since 3/15/2019.  I thought it would be over but I am so sick, I cannot work.  The stomach pain I have is peristaltic and IBS accompanies it.  Tagamet works briefly.  Tramadol hardly touches this pain.  Flexeril, a muscle relaxant, actually relieves the pain to the point I can sleep but I sense a gnawing sensation which wakes me up.  So, I have had no sleep.  AT my age, me without sleep is not pretty and driving will be unsafe.

I will leave this link here and flee the website cause I do not feel like being lectured right now.  And I do not want defend myself when everyone knows our industry has left the old timers like me (single, childless, worked hard to meet TAT and came in on holidays so everyone on my  Team could be with their family if they wanted to) is at the mercy of this economy which is diversity focused and I am afraid after hundreds of resumes, I just don't fit te description.  So, I turn 62 on 2/2 and 30 days later, I wil be issued a rather nice check reflecting 4 decades of work but for right now, I am overdraft so any small donation would be appreciated.  I need gas and a cup of hot tea - so that tells you even $5.00 would be appreciated.  If I could sleep today, I may be back to normal tomorrow.  If not, I will need to go to the ER, and I have no insurance, and I suspect this is gastritis but could be a manifestation of MCTD which I have been diagnosed with after bowel resection many years ago.

I am sorry.  I just have to try this.  Many  Have already helped me from here (I was a regular) and another website I have been a regular at for nearly a decade.

Hope you are all doing well.  Thank you.
