It's really tough to imagine what to say to someone who is nearing the end, but can't understand why she hasn't gone yet when she feels ready to go.
Maybe she's just so uncomfortable, even though her pain is being treated. But, still I imagine she doesn't feel that great and is limited in being able to do what she would like to. Probably sees her art supplies all around her, but knows she can't put much energy into it as before.
Maybe a minister could bring her thoughts back to focus on God and His mercy and grace. To offer gratitude to God for having had a life so blessed with a supportive family and all of her dear close friends. And He gave her a beautiful talent to share with the world through her artwork. What a wonderful way to honor God - by first having a relationship with Him, loving and nurturing your family and friends, and living to the best of your ability a Godly life. A great example to follow...
You are a very special person to have such compassion for this dear lady and what she is going through...
