Suniva, a Chinese-owned company is controlled by a hedge fund based in Guernsey, an offshore tax haven. After benefiting from $48 million in federal taxpayer subsidies from Obama’s green investing scam, and even using prison labor to build their products, Suniva still went bust.
It is important to understand that solar panels are appliances. One can reduce their electric consumption by buying a new, more efficient refrigerator, washing machine or light bulbs. Or one can reduce their electric consumption by installing solar panels. My solar panels are made in Canada and my solar panel inverter by Solar Edge, an Israeli company.
No one should be forced to buy solar panels though in my opinion. This is political.
