how bout that outrage

Newt deeply outraged at audacity of questioning his personal life.  Too bad he does not exhibit such sensitivity towards the feelings of others.

Sarah, Newt, Herman - NEWT NEVER BLAMED ANYONE
[ In Reply To ..]
Pay attention. He took full responsibility for his actions. Oh wait, they don't play that on CNN, MSNBC or HSNBC or Newsweek or Politco or.....the list goes on.

Newt blamed his excessive love of country for his affair. Until he was laughed out of the crab shack.
To NM - You know - just look at the posts on this board

Never saw such throat cutting; and all coming from people that are blind to anything not Democrat. You only need to read the posts to see where it springs from.

Hmm...Cinton gets a pass on his escapades while IN OFFICE, and Newt is beaten up for something 15 years old. No hypocrisy there.

clinton got a pass? - nom

He was hounded constantly while in office, evah heard of Ken starr? By the way, do you remember what good ole Newt was doing AT THE SAME TIME he was condemning Clinton? Glass houses gather no moss.

Goodfor Ken Starr - Clinton desired whatever he got

[ In Reply To ..]
Clinton totallay disrespected the white house. Plenty of proof of that. Not to mention what Edwards pulled. Newt...who knows what is true. Know nothing of what his wife says is true or not. Newt's daughter's stand with him. More to the story than what the ex says.
generosity of spirit - nom
[ In Reply To ..]
I am commenting on the misrepresentation that Clinton got a pass. I am sad whenever an adult strays and hurts his family. I think Newt will get "what he deserves" also, so we will both be happy!
Newt/Clinton - difference
[ In Reply To ..]
Speaking of generosity of spirit...none given to Newt...guess depends on the "R" or "D". Newt publicly and repeatedly stated his sorrow over past indiscretion. Confessed and asked for forgiveness. Clinton did none of that and continues to "philander"...no change there. Only difference is, mightly protected by press. Check out the accident "one" of his mistresses had with a driver in New York...covered up pretty quickly with a lot of cash. Nuff said.
Newt presented himself as the poster - mthead

child for family values while leading the charge to drive Clinton out of the White House WHILE having an affair of his own. That's the difference. Clinton did not campaign on family values.

Clinton impeached - Forever hooked with Monica
[ In Reply To ..]
For what Clinton did to his family and the public humiliation will forever be tied to him and rightly so. Very few knew about what went on in Newt's marriage until is ex stepped out with a national interview, and also 15 years ago. Not sure I believe the ex either. Both Newt's daughters are supporting and campaigning with him. Clinton made it into a public scandal by dragging his sex-capades into the Oval Office WHILE serving. Under oath, he testified he was getting a BJ from Monica while making arrangements to send troops to war (from Clinton's mouth in the court transcripts). For those on this board defending him, wonder how they would have felt if they were the ones (or their loved ones)being shipped to war.
Only for those stuck in the last century. Approval ratings soared - by the end of his term
[ In Reply To ..]
He has received countless awards, honorary degrees, commemorations and recognition all over the globe, his fundraising work with HW Bush on belhalf of tsunami victims being among one of many of his most memorable, along with his work on behalf of HIV/AIDS. That is what REAL redemption looks like, not some phoney, pitiful coverup by a flailing fractured political party trying to prop up a serial adulterer in the name of family values. Give me a break.
Newt's admitted to having an affair while married to Marrianne. - Huh?

There's nothing to believe or disbelieve.

Impeached and ACQUITTED in a highly - mthead

fashion. But he DID not campaign on family values and Newt WAS having an affair during the impeachment process. What part of that is not true, pray tell?

was a brillant but flawed president whose leadership benefitted us ALL.

Newt is an abhorrent being who is suddenly "sorry" for his indiscretions because he wants to drag his inflated behind and ego into the White House. He is a joke and I spend hours laughing at his pathetic squirming. Even the pundits do little to conceal their contempt for his actions in the past. White house for Newt, not gonna happen.

Clinton - No benefit to me
[ In Reply To ..]
Clinton was, still is a joke, but get your humor where you can. Only thing Clinton did was tax through the roof, but heh...that's a Dem/socialist/progressive party requirement. Guess flaws are only deemed acceptable if there is a "D" attached...everyone else gets no mercy...Yeah, that's it.

Don't like, don't read it. Pretty easy concept to follow. See no "snappy" opponent on this board.
Economy expanded, prospered, budget balanced with surplus, - low poverty and unemployment rates
[ In Reply To ..]
No gettin' around it, no matter how hard you try to rewrite that history. Face it. Elections cannot be won by campaigning on misinformation. Back to the drawing board.
The "Surplus" Faux has been debunked - where have you been
[ In Reply To ..]
I don't know why Clintonites cannot understand that simple concept. Even when proven by government websites.

The link shows there was no "surplus" when Clinton left. If the country has a debt there is no "surplus". What is so hard to understand about that. "Misinformation" is what you are spreading.

I will give him credit for the balanced budget during his administration.

He was shipping our jobs overseas, so don't know where you get the unemployment rates.

He taxed us so much and I mean SOOOOOOO much my tax rate jumped so high I was no longer middle income anymore. I was now down in the poverty level. Never had anything when he was in office, lived in a 1 bedroom hole. No vacation, no dinners out, no new clothes or car. Nothing because everything we made after rent, food and electricity went to pay taxes. Yeah, thanks a bunch Clinton.

He disgraced the office that is supposed to be held in the highest regard in this country. He dirtied it with his affairs (IN THE WHITEHOUSE ITSELF). Geez, why not just take a you know what on Lincoln's bed. But not only for Monica, but for all the other women he was with. But that was the least of the problem. I can give a break to a guy who doesn't want to be with his wife anymore (and can't blame him), but it was that little thing that did it. It was called "Lying under oath". My mom told me the low point of her life was having to explain to her father (my grandfather) about the whole cigar issue and what was done with it.

He set the course, so to say, that taught children it is okay to lie.

There was so much wrong that happened. People losing their jobs, middle income now became low income. Unemployment rate? Truth is unemployment rate was lower under Bush's term than it was under Clinton's.

Where have you been - Thank God someone can read
[ In Reply To ..]
I went through exactly what you did with Clinton in office. I found his treatment of the white house despicable. Check out those on this board that think it was okay for Clinton to do whatever with whomever WHILE president and have fits over Net's ex, who has an ax to grind and absolutely NO corroboration to any of her interview. Doesn't pass the sniff test. It is less painful to have a root canal than try to reason or get through to a "D"....they read only what supports or spins their side and completely ignore everything else (Debbie Wasserman Schulta-gag). I don't bother with the obvious posts anymore of all "Ds" proclaiming their superiority, complete waste of time.
Clinton - no benefit to me either - TAX, TAX AND MORE TAX
[ In Reply To ..]
Notice how the libs ALWAYS skip over the recession Clinton left behind. Libs NEVER mention that Clinton balanced the budget with Newt. Libs always skip over how low unemplyment was under Bush. Libs ALWAYS skip over that gas has soared to almost double under Obama. Food skyrocketing under Obama (coffee, sugar, flour, corn, fruit). I guess Clinton walking on water was a prelude as to what was coming with Obama...Wonder which gets to keep the throne at day's end, Clinton/Obama, Clinon/Obama. Oh the lib drama of it all!!
Aren't they Newt's daughters from his first - mthead
[ In Reply To ..]
wife? The one he cheated on with Marianne (the second wife)? Of course they would stand by him -- it's not their mother who is being dissed.

That is because Clinton lied, and was a proven - liar... always will be a liar.nm

And Newt will always be a hypocrite - mthead
[ In Reply To ..]
From whom did he ask forgiveness, and who granted it? I know Clinton lied and deserved what he got, even if it cost $70 million dollars of taxpayers money to prove it; however, he has done more good, more humanitarian things out of office than Newt will ever do in his life. To me, that shows contrition and it makes him more deserving of forgiveness than Newt's simple request to be forgiven.

Agree! Clinton is revered. Gingrich slammed. - Libs are such hypocrites. nm
