The 9/11 terror plot was hatched LONG before W became president. Bin Laden and Al Qaeda blossomed under Clinton. Clinton formed a task force to find and capture him, but then backed off. Sadly, 9/11 would have happened regardless of who was president, and thank God we will never know of the further horrors that could have followed had Gore been president. I shudder with the thought.

As far as FOX news, I'm an independent/moderate (meaning it depends on the issue), but even in my historically red state, FOX news is considered a joke except in more rural areas - sometimes they present an interesting perspective or unearth a good issue issue, but mostly they're considered laughably melodramatic, sensationalistic, small-minded and overly paranoid

Fox is included in the basic cable package. I know you have to pay extra for MSNBC, I do not know about CNN. The people who would likely watch MSNBC are more likely to be busy actually doing things and not watching TV and being couch potatoes like the Fox viewers.

FOX NEWS NETWORK is not free if you have the basic package. There is one local Fox station that has programming like The Following, The Simpsons, etc., and local news, but no 24-hour news like the Fox News NETWORK. Two different things.

If you have the "starter package," then you get ALL 3 - Fox News Network, CNN, and MSNBC.

That's what a lot of people don't understand. There's a big difference between FOX LOCAL and FOX NEWS NETWORK.

When I said Fox was free with basic cable, you could have corrected me by saying Fox is included in basic cable, and you have to pay for cable. But I guess I do not really care, because I decided cable is totally worthless. Around here Fox is INCLUDED in basic cable, MSNBC is not.
