I found a bashing Michelle Bachmann - quote on my feed

I don't care for her at all, but I found it difficult to believe she actually said what the feed said, so I didn't pass it on.

It was something denigrating about Cinco De Mayo. (still can't find anything about it)

Even with Bachmann, as easy a target as she is, I think there should be some truth before comments are broadcast.

My guideline is, if it sounds just too gossipy/juicy/stupidly good from my political perspective, it probably isn't true.

Another instance, when I actually heard Mitt Romney say he was wasn't worried about the middle class. It wasn't actually what he meant. In context, he meant, the lower class (poverty, if you will) needed to have attention to make sure life-threatening situations were averted and the upper class needed to be maintained (because in his Republican mind that would provide jobs and economy). I didn't agree with him, of course, but I did understand he didn't mean to heck with the middle class, he just meant in his world they were floating along just fine.
