76% of Americans want a special prosecutor (sm)

While President Obama's Attorney General, Eric Holder, faces a possible perjury charge and increased calls for his resignation over the Justice Department's outrageous spying on the media -- elsewhere, another scandal is taking another kind of toll. A new Quinnpiac poll shows that the public is far from satisfied that the IRS matter is settled. A full 76% want a special prosecutor named; that includes 63% of Democrats.
Well, Obama did promise to bring us together. Let's just hope he was wrong about the oceans rising.

Amazing the lengths to which some people are willing to go in their scandal mongering and impeachment crusade. I didn't notice those polls asking anybody how they felt about paying for the IRS's defense should a special prosecutor EVER be assigned. In the meantime, I suppose we'll just have to put up with this droning drum beat.

Seventy-three percent of American voters believe that dealing with the economy should be a bigger priority than investigating the controversies of the IRS, Benghazi, and the AP, according to Quinnipiac poll released Thursday.
Of the scandals, 44% of voters say the IRS is the most important one (luckily for the GOP, as their Benghazi scandal backfired and revealed their machinations behind the scenes to create said scandal). Twenty-four percent say the Benghazi attack, and 15% say the AP scandal. However, “American voters say 43 – 32 percent that congressional criticism of the Obama administration’s handling of the terrorist attack in Libya is ‘just politics.’” That number should alarm Republicans, who already face poor poll numbers and the appearance of doing nothing but obstructing the President.
