He made it into a RUNOFF because he didn't WIN. The only reason he mde it to the runoff is because there were 11 Republicans running on the ticket which took votes away from all candidates. Dejavue Republcian presidential campaign. I really don't consider Ossoff winning, not with less than 50%. If he would have had 50%, there wouldn't be a runoff. After over $8 MILLION being poured into his campaign by outsiders, I consider it a loss. We shall see what happens in the runoff - one against one.

As for Jason Chaffetz...he was one of the honest good guys. He didn't spend millions flying back and forth evry weekend nor did he spend millions on hotels or apartments to be in D.C. I'm saddened to see him leave. But, I agree that family comes first and I can see his point. I don't blame his family for not wanting to move to D.C. either. Chaffetz was "one of the younger blood."

As for Thompson v. Estes, this is the truth according to a Kansas paper(my emphasis is in caps:

Sedgwick County finishes its vote counting and becomes the ONLY county carried by Democrat James Thompson. Thompson led by 414 over Republican Ron Estes, WHO CARRIED THE OTHER 16 COUNTIES. Overall, Estes had 53% v.45% for Thompson. That's more than 5 points.

So maybe the Dems should't jump or joy for Estes either.
