Gallup:  R 49, O 48

Rassmussen:  R 49, O 48

Romney internal polls put him up in OH

MSNBC accidentally shows Romney winning (love that one)

Noonan:  It's Romney

Barnes:  Why Romney will win

Dems fear they may lose seats in House.

Bad Omen for Obama - Redskins lose at home (not the superstitious type here, but still good news)

Wisconsin State Journal endorses Romney (they endorsed obama last time).

Candy Crowley calls him President Romney

PA:  R 47, O 47

MI: R 47, O 46

New York Daily endorses Romney

Generals and admirals endorse Romney.

So still to close to tell, but it finally looks like good news.

So where does the electoral map fit into - all this good news?

Whoops.

We all just need to prepare ourselves. I remember - how sick and depressed I felt

[ In Reply To ..]
in 2000 when the Electoral College chose W. for President. Then, I at least thought he'd listen to his father, and it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Then came 2004--all over again, corrupted voting process and vote counts. People knew what he was and voted for him again anyway. Our Supreme Court had such disregard for the vote that they just put it aside and appointed a president. No hopes for wise counsel this time.

Just saying. Things turned out much worse under a hopelessly inadequate president than I even began to guess, we learned a majority on our Supreme Court was so contemptuous of our democratic systems that it would blandly usurp the people's authority, and yet here we all are.

Waiting to learn the results of an already corrupted election, wondering just how bad the problem really is, hoping a broken system at least falls our preferred direction.

Plan to deal with it. Rent some good movies, take up a new hobby, stock up on emergency supplies and double your rate of savings if you find that comforting. 'Cause aside from voting and insisting on a complete and proper count, there's not a damned thing we can do about it.

we can "take back our country."

I asssume you mean via our democratic institutions - in another 4 years. We're shaky

[ In Reply To ..]
enough now without people glorifying the notion of civil war and violent coups. We need MORE respect for the system our founding fathers created, not contempt.
Our founding fathers? - REALLY?
[ In Reply To ..]
The system our founding father created didn't include Faux news, and dumbing down our citizenry enough through crappy schools and terror techniques to make them happy to be sheep led to slaughter. The respect for our founding fathers went out the window with those who fabricated GW Bush's 1st "victory," much to the detriment of us all (even those too blind to see).
Keep the faith and get out the vote! nm - VTMT

the "system" is not working any longer, and certainly not the way the "founding fathers" created it to. How can we "respect" something that is out to nail each of us in the backside every time we turn around while the rich get richer and the poor keep paying, and all the corruption, lies being told, cover-up's, and every other evil thing that can be imagined...no, you assumed wrong (you know what they say about assuming things). I did not mean taking back our country "via our democratic institutions." These so called institutions no longer serve the upright hard working people of this once beloved country. We are "shaky" not because of people glorifying the notion of civil war and violent coups, as you suggest. We are shaky because of what the present democratic institution has become!! It will never change, but continue to worsen until America falls completely, and it is already doomed in that direction, as China sits and laughs at us, along with all the other nations of the world. We used to be so powerful and every nation feared the anger of America. Not any longer. We are an embarrassment and it is our present system that got us there. I am not talking "civil war." There is another word that fits better as to what Americans need to do to take back control of our country....it begins with an R. I am not a hate monger. I just want what we used to have...prosperity and God fearing peoples, honest peoples, running our country...not Sodom and Gomorrah. We should hold all of our present govt in "contempt" the way they hold all of us in contempt....the very ones that pay for their outrageous salaries and special interests.
Show of hands if your think the good ole days were when - every nation feared an angry America.

is showing their hands too, and their hearts. You can't see it on here. you don't WANT to see it, because you LIKE things the way they are. You must be one of the wealthy ones, earned income off the sweat and tears of your subservients, and could care less how they feel...just keep working and bringing in the dollars for you. crack that whip. keep em at the edge of insanity. Insanity is the way of the present govt. as long as you are happy. to heck with everybody else. Take back America!!!

I've tivoed some Downton Abbey episodes I haven't - seen before. My "away place." :) nm

Mike Huckabee I told you recently about a poll that found that Congress’ approval rating was lower than that of cockroaches. Well, maybe this will help Congress pull slightly ahead of the bugs. As part of their deal to avoid the fiscal cliff, Congress agreed to freeze their own salaries. But the latest Republican bill to suspend the debt ceiling until May 18th went even further. It would put lawmakers’ paychecks on hold starting on April 15th – tax day. Their pay would g ...

Right wingnuts going the way of the dinosaur perhaps?  It's high time . . . But the larger issue is the declining demographics of the right-wing talk-radio racket.  “Look at the millennial generation,” says Colliano. “There’s 80 million of them coming of age. They don’t see color. They don’t see gender. And they’re civic minded: they don’t like bloviating. They don’t like yelling and screaming. So you tell me: how ...

Jason Chaffetz will be "returning to the private sector" in 2018.  Jon Ossoff handily made it into the runoff against the woman who was fired from the Susan Komen Foundation.  Democrat James Thompson lost by about 5 points in Kansas, one of the reddest states in the country (home of the Koch Bros).  Come on millenials, time to paint the red states purple!
