But I'm a little freaked out, and the first available appointment with the glaucoma specialist isn't until August 31, so I have some time to continue freaking out.
I went to the optometrist for what I thought was a routine visit and refraction update. He was alarmed at how much worse my right eye had gotten in 2 years, and suspected a cataract.
A cataract? At my age? I'm only 54! But yes... I am developing a cataract in my right eye. Not only that, my pressure is up, and they would want to get my pressure down before possibly addressing the cataract.
So I see the glaucoma specialist on August 31. Meanwhile, I get to spend the next month and a half freaking out.
Glaucoma and cataracts... at age 54.
I am not happy. Prayers would be much appreciated.
