Would you please pray for me. All my muscles are paralyzed from head to toe incuding face. Neurologists do not know what it is and do not care. I know this has to be Guallain-Barre syndrome but the doctors I have seen will not do a spinal tap as I still have leg reflexes except when I lay down. All my skin is peeling off too like a snake even my moles. I read somewhere this can happen. I am so scared for my job and my life and still trying to work like this. It is between going to a bigger facility and living or losing my job as I would have to go in the ICU although I am a DNR. I am drooling profusely from paralyzed facial and throat muscles. I have no family or husband to help either. Thanks for all your prayers. I know God is still in control through all of this.

[ In Reply To ..]Thanks so much for your prayers. I am so scared and alone, no family to help. I am almost suicidal from this which is not good and I know does not please God. I almost had to crawl into my church this morning. I just feel I have no way out of this mess. I keep praying and praying and listening to scripture. I pray no one ever has to endure the pain I am suffering. Thanks for listening and God Bless.

[ In Reply To ..]Hi Mary, I am so sorry to hear that! Is there anyway you could try to work while you are in the hospital? My mom was just in the ICU and my dad was working on his lap top the entire time. Also, my friend had gone paralyzed for no apparent reason in August. She is walking again with a walker but they think it might have been on virus as they ruled out Guallian.

[ In Reply To ..]Make sure you are getting plenty of vitamin D. We make tons more in a few minutes of sunlight than what we are told is the recommended amount, so sunlight is great if you can get some. If only supplements, remember the suggestion is on the very low side.
It sounds like you should not really be alone right now. Do you have any options (at all) to have someone stay with you?

[ In Reply To ..]No I don't have anyone to stay with me but I have wonderful neighbors and friends from church. I just keep remembering Jesus is here with me. I sure have a complicated condition and wish one doctor could figure it out. Thanks for all your help.

[ In Reply To ..]Thank you so much for your prayers. I don't think there is anything anyone can do except pray one doctor or hospital steps up to figure this out. My face is now numb and swelling as well. I am still leaving this in God's hands. I don't know why He is letting me hang on like this but I have to believe He is going to step in and do something or take me home. Thanks again for all your support. I really appreciate it.

This illness has permanently deformed my face. Can you believe it? The neuros that saw me are trying to blow this off as a "conversion disorder" when I know it is Guallain-Barre. I am sure this is failed cervical spine surgery all levels. They cannot find anything else but won't admit that is what it is especially the surgeon who did it. Thanks for all your help and ideas. ...

All my brain MRI's show white matter lesions of a nonspecific demyelinating disease The neuros said this is normal for age? Has anyone ever heard of this being normal? I passed my swallow test so the last neuro ruled out MS. I guess this is failed neck surgery but my head is completely numb which does not really correlate with my neck as we all know the cranial nerves are in our brains. This is just crazy! Well I had a video swallow today that was normal. I wonder if that means I don't have MS? I do, however, have decreased arm and leg reflexes and white matter lesions on my brain. I am so scared with no answer and in horrifying pain in my head from occipital and trigeminal neuralgia. ...
