paralyzed muscles

I am sure this is failed cervical spine surgery all levels.  They cannot find anything else but won't admit that is what it is especially the surgeon who did it.  Thanks for all your help and ideas.

seeing an orthopaedic? I know you have posted that you have seen several neurologists, but if it is failed cervical spine surgery, going to an orthopaedic who specializes in spine surgery would be my next step if the neurolgists or neurosurgeons are unable to help. You can go to AAOS.org (amercican academy of orthopaedic surgeons) or try american academy of spine surgeons.

Also, do you live near a university hospital or large medical facility where you might have better luck.

Thanks for the info. I went to another neurosurgeon but there is nothing they can do. I have had a C3-6 laminectomy in 2002 for spinal stenosis and now I guess that has failed. One surgeon does not want to touch another one's surgery. My MRI's don't show a clear picture on the right where it all is from the hardware. Unfortunately it is too late for more surgery. I guess I will just have to face up to it all. I have been to every hospital in the city. I just wish the original neurosurgeon had the guts to tell me that I will become quadriplegic. At this point I am just praying for no more suffering. Thanks for all your suggestions and help.

All my brain MRI's show white matter lesions of a nonspecific demyelinating disease  The neuros said this is normal for age?  Has anyone ever heard of this being normal?  I passed my swallow test so the last neuro ruled out MS.  I guess this is failed neck surgery but my head is completely numb which does not really correlate with my neck as we all know the cranial nerves are in our brains.  This is just crazy!  I am just miserable and am afraid ...

Well I had a video swallow today that was normal.  I wonder if that means I don't have MS?  I do, however, have decreased arm and leg reflexes and white matter lesions on my brain.  I am so scared with no answer and in horrifying pain in my head from occipital and trigeminal neuralgia. ...

Ok now I am so paralyzed when I stick my tongue out it jerks rapidly by itself.  Went to the ER yesterday and they thought it might be myasthenia gravis  or Guallain-Barre and sent me home?  I have yet to see another neuro but I think my time is about up.  This is really scaring me now. ...

This illness has permanently deformed my face. Can you believe it?  The neuros that saw me are trying to blow this off as a "conversion disorder" when I know it is Guallain-Barre.  That is the only thing that can paralyze your spine and facial muscles as I do not have MS or ALS to my knowledge. I could die from this as all my facial muscles are paralyzed. I can barely eat.   I am going to see yet a 4th neuro and when I get this diagnosed I am filing a mult ...

Would you please pray for me.  All my muscles are paralyzed from head to toe incuding face.  Neurologists do not know what it is and do not care. I know this has to be Guallain-Barre syndrome but the doctors I have seen will not do a spinal tap as I still have leg reflexes except when I lay down.  All my skin is peeling off too like a snake even my moles.  I read somewhere this can happen.  I am so scared for my job and my life and still trying to work like this.&nb ...
