Employment

Posted: Jun 30, 2011

I am asking for prayers that I find employment very soon.  I have no money coming into my family as my unemployment has run out.  I have been unemployed for over 2 years, but I did return to school during this time in the hopes of it helping me to find work.  I have been struggling with depression and anxiety for the past couple months over my unemployment status.  I pray daily for the Lord to show me His plan for me.  God Bless all of you and thank you for your prayers.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/03/01/job-applicants-age-disclosure-requirement_n_829637.html We have had some discussion about the chipping away of child labor laws.  Here is an example of the chipping away of age discrimination laws.  Some people here have made the argument there are laws to protect us.  My answer--not if the Republicans have their way and defund and deregulate the concerned agencies that do the protecting.  A chip here, and a chip there. ...

Part-time EmploymentJul 03, 2010
Good morning, please pray for wisdom and direction AND an opportunity for a part-time work from home job.  I am a single mother of four children.  I work full-time for the state, however my income does not cover my monthly expenses.  My ex-husband died three years ago.  Social Security goes by what you put in and he could never hold a job for very long...consequently what my two youngest children receive helps some but not enough.  Money has always been tight and I just ...

Temporary help services, a harbinger of permanent hiring, increased 34,900 from 23,800 in September.   2010 has had more private job creation than during the entire 8 year tenure of George W. Bush.& ...

More On Employment From A Dem: "...the Job Market Looks NORMAL For People Who Have BeenMar 09, 2013
dysfunctional for people who have been out of work longer than that." For those who resented the positive news I posted of a continued decrease in unemployment, AND for those who are always interested in more of the story, good times and bad, I post this. Note, there is an answer--government to provide additional employment, of all types. We've done it before and it works very well. But this time our governments,  instead of creating jobs in a severe recession, in response to our de ...

Employment, Bills, Bills, Bills!Mar 05, 2010
My husband and I need all the prayer we can get.  I have been out of work for a year now due to outsourcing.  He returned from a year long deployment in Iraq last July and has been looking for employment and found a job that is now not working him and his unemployment ran out right before that and now they are saying he cannot file for unemployment again because that would be considered quitting the job he has now although he has not worked in 3 weeks!  Everything is on the verge ...
