trusted newscaster or news source anyone?

Does anyone have a news person that they trust to be a real journalist rather than an opinion? Who is the Tom Brokaw of today's news people? I watch 3 news outlets, MSNBC, Fox news and CNN and try to get a balanced idea, but it seems that they are all injecting their bias into their reporting. So far, Chris Wallace seems to be pretty good on Fox. I like Morning Joe on MSNBC, but haven't found anyone on CNN, although I am sure there is someone, or at least I hope so.

It's hard to find someone when almost 90% vote Democrat. You can also tell by how the headline is written and by how other "journalist" treat you when you ask Democrats the same questions as Republicans.

Watch the daily press briefings. Listen to Sean Spicer's answers and see how the reporter writes the story. Most of the time it's nothing like what Sean said, it's spin.

and his briefings. They actually take what Trump says and spin it into something that doesn't sound anything like what Trump says. "The president actually meant this." Then he slams the media for quoting the president instead of knowing what he really means. It's actually quite comical.

He looks like Mr. Potato Head to me for some reason. I don't know if it is the shape of his head and face or the texture of his skin, but I can't watch him without thinking that all he needs is the mustache and the hat!

I listen to NPR radio and watch PBS and the CBS affiliate for the evening news and listen to my local radio station for news and weather. You could also subscribe to one or two local or regional newspapers on line.

though I don't subscribe to local. I stay away from far left or far right news or you get propaganda. I also watch CBS for the evening news and find them very fair, though the right will disagree. Saw them even more or less defend Bannon as far as his white supremacy accusations. They said he did own Breibart which is alt-right and does put out white supremacy type articles, but they have not found any direct quotes by him that direct him to white supremacy.

NPR actually has some good programming, and not jus news. They do book reviews and have music programs. "All Things Considered" is a good news program, actually pretty middle of the road. I'm not sure what's wrong with PBS, great drama programs, history and biography, one of the more in depth evening news programs available. No reality TV shows, but some people enjoy that sort of thing. I would not call them liberal. Not many tax dollars support public broadcasting, the majority comes from private grants and viewer contributions.

Most people choose what they want based on their own biases. - My suggestion is do your own research.

There are many online sites that are not the MSM.

Gallup poll shows trust in media plunging to an all-time low.

CNN is the least trusted network. PBS leans left and is funded by taxpayers to a large extent. NRP leans left. Fox's news is 6 PM with Brett Baier. The rest is opinion just like all the other stations.

We have a free press, but not a fair press.

Try alternatives and trust but verify.

IMO - CNN I don't see as a free press. Anyone working for them who is not on board with them wouldn't last long. A few have less obnoxious personalities, though. They have guests on who are pro-Trump but they often talk over them. They don't give them equal speaking time. They yell that the guest is not answering the question asked. CNN is constant Trump bashing.

John King on CNN. I listen to John Hockenberry's radio show, The Take-Away, on WGBH, an NPR station (or your local public radio station). I watch most of the news specials on PBS (public television). The PBS News Hour is also good. By the way, only a very small percentage of funding comes from tax payers for PBS and NPR (mostly for their arts and entertainment programming). It is mostly viewer funded and funded by private foundations and benefactors. I also like the CBS evening news.
