Whoppee! Harry Reid retiring at the end of the year

'Bout time. Now maybe more will get done after he leaves. He's still trying to block everything that the Republicans try to vote on but he has little pull now that he's no longer the majority leader (thank heavens).
I noticed a big difference yesterday when watching the Senate. They were doing a blitz voting binge so they could go home and worked into the night. That's the way it should be done (voting, not the binge voting). Maybe if they wouldn't take so much time off, they'd get a lot more done.
When does their spring break start? It was supposed to be next week but with them working into the night yesterday, I guess they decided they deserve an extra day off because the calendar shows they're supposed to be at work. Think how much more work they may have been able to get done if they had stayed at work today. Now they won't be back until April 13.
Don't you wish you could have all that time off and get paid $174K a year?
