Harry Reid says all the Obamacare

Posted: Feb 26, 2014

horror stories are untrue.  All of them.  Someone needs to put this old coot out of his misery.

;

Put him out of his misery? - Lovely. nm

.

Now if I was the tattling type I'd say this was - one of the worse comments ever

[ In Reply To ..]
This "old coot" has a long history of service to the country whether you appreciate it or not. So respect seniors even if you can't respect him.

And one gets the impression that the misery you speak of is mostly shared by those so disappointed in the SUCCESS of ACA versus its highly anticipated failure.

There are a lot of ways to put someone out of their misery. - But go ahead if you must. (sm)

[ In Reply To ..]
I know some of you live for these moments.

There would be no reason to report this if you wanted to - Another poster - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
What are you going to report it for? Because you don't like what someone writes? Because you don't have a thick skin? This is a political board where people can come and vent their frustrations about politicians and issues. You don't report posts just cos you don't like what someone has to say about a politician. That would be ridiculous because then every single post would get reported because someone is always going to disagree with something.

I haven't heard the term "old coot" in probably 10 years, but yes I would say that is a good term for him. There are a few others that are even better, but those terms cannot be said here. It doesn't matter how long he's been serving and enriching himself, it's what he does while in office, which right now he should be ashamed of his record.

You don't have the right to tell other people who to respect. That there if I were the tattling type I would tattle (but I'm not). Where Reid belongs is the senior citizens home for the mentally incompetent. His age is showing every time he opens his mouth.

As for the ACA, if it ever does become a success, which right now its a FAILURE of epic proportions, then we can discuss that.

Success? - Really?

[ In Reply To ..]
Thanks for the laugh this morning - I really needed that :)

Yes, success....at putting people out of health care - That they once had

[ In Reply To ..]
Accident or on purpose? Has to make people wonder.
Ooohhhh, OK. In that - case...
[ In Reply To ..]
The poster is 100% correct - it's been a HUGE success!!

Thank you for clearing that up for me :)
Kind of odd that you would consider us with out healthcare as a success - but ooooh ok, thanks for clearing that up
[ In Reply To ..]
Think it's pretty pathetic that some people think it's okay if others are out of health insurance. As they say - whatever floats your boat. I guess I just can't be like that. I would like everyone who wants health care to have it and at an affordable rate, instead of some of us being kicked off our health care plan we had before the disaster hit to now be told if we want health care our rates have more than tripled. I couldn't even afford the last rate I had.

Guess I'm just not getting the enjoyment people are having at the suffering of others.
I don't think it's funny - at all!
[ In Reply To ..]
I find it ridiculous that some people think of the ACA as a success. I had really good insurance, but it was cancelled because it didn't include maternity care (I'm 46, definitely no more kids). Any plan that included what I did have before was going to cost roughly my entire monthly paycheck. We're going to take our chances and just pay the fine this year and then see what happens next year. I know I'm not the only one in this boat and that upsets me.

I guess my sarcasm didn't convey very well - sorry about that.
My apologies - Person you replied to - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I think I misunderstood your post. I guess I'm like you. Had good insurance but it was cancelled. The reason they gave was my policy didn't conform to the UHC (unaffordable health care). I called everywhere. I was barely able to afford my last healthcare policy, but now am told if I want health care my rates would jump 3 or 4 times the amount. I too am past childbearing years. I don't need maternity or many of the other stuff they would have me pay for.

So when people (and I use that term loosely) like king Harry comes out and says this is all false I'm thinking you gotta be kidding me. Over 70,000 people in my state out of insurance now, unable to either get insurance or afford insurance and he's saying over 70,000 people are lying??? (and that's only in my state alone - this is happening throughout the country). Sorry that is just mathematically impossible that millions of people are lying, but only Harry is telling the truth? This is why he needs to go. I know democrats are desparate to win this fall, but really? king Harry has proven he is no longer capable of thinking. You would think that a politician would need to be of sound mind and body, but I guess not with him (or with Nancy).

All I have to say is I hope once elections are done and republicans take back more seats we will be able to ditch the insanity and start working towards a better future for all Americans. Ditch the unaffordable health care that has put millions out of health care and put forth plans that will help us all. What crats have come up with is not working.
No apology - needed :)
[ In Reply To ..]
I hate that you're in the same boat as me.

I also hope that the republicans can take back more seats in November - they have some really good ideas of how to fix this - but I just hope they don't screw things up (their track record isn't much better than the dems). Trying to remain hopeful :)

He thinks if he keeps repeating the nonsense, - it will become true.

If I were a liberal, I would be offended that he would think so little of my intelligence.

Harry is right. - sm

The Republicans are desperate and all they have are false claims.

"Kevin Drum wonders whether there's a single genuine Obamacare horror story out there, given that virtually every yarn promoted by Republicans or conservatives about people hurt by the Affordable Care Act has deflated like a pricked balloon on the merest examination."

Harry believes he's right, but he's not. - Please do more research.

[ In Reply To ..]
It is cruel to make sweeping statements that the "horror" studies are not true when real people are suffering due to the disaster known as obamacare. Their stories are out there. Harry just doesn't want to read them or believe them. Please don't lower yourself to his level.

Show me proof of one true victim. - sm

I've done plenty of research, and I will gladly listen to any story that has not already been debunked. I have provided links to several articles that support my point of view. Maybe you should read them. You might actually learn something.
Sorry, I'm not taking your bait. - sm

The very stories your friend Harry claimed as untrue are true. Read about them. Get the WD40 out to unstick your remote from MSNBC. The Obama victims have been profiled on PBS, CNN, ABC, CBS and FOX as well as in many printed publications.
If you had done plenty of research you would know the stories are real - Nothings been debunked
[ In Reply To ..]
Just because Harry doesn't want to believe its true doesn't mean it isn't. Of course he is going to pull this right before the elections. They are so desperate to win they'll try anything. Reid reminds me of that guy that was in Iraq. I think the called him the Minister of misinformation. While there was a war going on right outside of Saddam's castle and you could hear the explosions going off he was inside on the news trying to convince people that no explosions were going off. LOL

Maybe you should do some more research on this instead of telling the people that the devastation this has brought upon them isn't really happening to them. Who knows, maybe you can convince the ones who have been thrown out of their insurance plans that it's all a figment of their imagination that they now have no insurance.

Maybe you should do some more research. You might actually learn something.
Wow. Apparently you haven't been reading - some of the posters on this board.
[ In Reply To ..]
The ones that have had their policies cancelled, have to pay more for another policy, can't get subsidies, can't get the medications they need, can't see the doctors they've had for years?

Maybe you should try reading some articles that go against your point of view - you might actually learn something.
