Marshals arrested 27-year-old Travis Ball in Northumberland County Saturday morning. They say he fatally shot Virginia State Police Special Agent Michael T. Walter Friday evening in Mosby Court.
RICHMOND, Va. -- Police are searching for a suspect after a Virginia State Police Special Agent was shot during an operation in Richmond's Mosby Court neighborhood Friday evening.
The victim has been identified as Special Agent Mike Walter, according to a tweet from Governor Terry McAuliffe. State Police has not confirmed that information at this time.
"Please pray for state trooper Mike Walter who was shot tonight in Richmond. Fighting for his life," McAuliffe tweeted.;

law enforcement and my eyes have been opened. He used to deliver pizza in the Laburnum neighborhood. The section eight housing across from the Dominos had hundreds of able bodied males just hanging out all day long not working.
Some of them tried to steal his truck.

He first wanted to join the military. I type for VA and talked him out of that, but now I am already apprehensive for him. I head a blurb on evening news last night about some states trying to make killing a cop a hate crime. I agree. A hate crime is defined as targeting someone for who they are. Targeting a cop because of his job is the same thing. I agree there are good cops and bad cops - the same as any occupation on Earth, but we don't always hear about the good ones and the bad ones get plastered all over the news because of protests. Not fair! I think there has to be some better way to weed out some of the bad people before they get into the academy and then are issued a gun!
19 homicides here recently and a police officer killed while - talking to a passenger in a car.

Mexican Police Chief Killed With F&F RifleJul 09, 2013The police chief was killed in January of this year but the story just came out yesterday. It would be wise to keep the pressure up on this gun-running scandal since more people are being killed in Mexico every day and there have been some incidences of murder in the border states, especially AZ and TX. This also is the reason why Immigration Reform should NOT be done until border security is done FIRST.

In a letter (PDF) sent to the state's public colleges and universities and obtained by the Washington Post, Cuccinelli declared that the schools don't have the authority to uphold bans on discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation when the state ...
