What ever happened to being American and helping each other out, instead of bashing each other over the head with self righteousness. Sad, sad state of affairs. Going to Hades in a hand basket it would seem, and that is regardless of your particular party and beliefs. Really people, use that mirror.;

My 91 year old arthritic mother refuses to ride in an electric cart while shopping. She says she doesn’t want people to think she’s lazy. The only way that makes sense is if Libby herself uses a motorized shopping cart. I don't see her saying that anywhere, do you?

The person she was responding to WAS judging people he/she doesn't know... not Libby... but people who use motorized carts (they're all just obese dontcha know).

When people don't have to worry about the cost of something (i.e. food, college, health care), they don't care what it costs.

Those who are not receiving this help have various red state policies and political personalities to look to for answers as to why they are not getting what is provided for them and everybody else under the LAW they chose to opt out of, either by refusing to expand Medicaid (excluding the state's poorest by the millions), refusing to set up exchanges, or bankrolling expensive misinformation campaigns designed to confuse and discourage.

For the record, people living at or below 138% of poverty level worry about the cost of food, housing, education and health care every waking moment of every single day.

So all you see is obesity and so you ASSUME that is their problem. How do you know if they have bad legs, knees, hips, congestive heart failure that prevents them from walking large grocery stores? Can you tell what their medical history just by looking at them because if you can you are definitely in the wrong business. You sterotype people but if someone stereotypes you you throw a fit and claim "you don't know me." Maybe you should practice what you preach. Do you realize how closed minded you sound?

Something HUGE is about to come because of all the MASSIVE spending in our government. We do not need Obamacare to take place RIGHT NOW. Costs too much to have it in place RIGHT NOW!

I understand what you are saying and I could say I agree (if I'm getting the meaning of what you are saying - if that makes sense), but I actually think we are a mirror of Washington. Democrats call Republicans nasty names, it is then mirrored here. It wouldn't be said here if they didn't hear it from Washington. The attitudes Washington politicians display regarding their disregard for us, then comes to this board as if it's okay that half the country be ignored. Politicians not willing to negotiate comes out in the posts. I don't think a lot of people here understand what is going on, they just regurgitate what they hear in the media. Then just like the fighting and bullying in Washington it then shows up on this board.

I'm not ashamed that the politicians can't sit down and negotiate and work things out (as in, okay I'll give this if you give that, or you take this if I can have that), but I am disappointed that one side will not give anything and want everything and they are not budging no matter how much it is hurting the country.

I am, however, ashamed of the people on this board that they like to keep repeating the lies even when the facts are there because it gives them so much pleasure to call people not in their party nasty names. I don't know why and that is what is wrong with our country.

But they say history will repeat itself. During the civil war you had brothers fighting their own brothers, so I guess this doesn't surprise me, but it is disappointing that as a fellow countrymen people cannot have a decent conversation about politics anymore.
