So funny watching Fox spend every segment howling about

Posted: Jan 27, 2016

To hawk their debate, they're trying to build up the Iowa caucus as some kind of big deal, which it never has been except for being the first primary, and patting themself on the back for "not letting journalism to be manipulated by a politician."

What this is really about, people, is money, pure and simple.  The debates bring Fox huge revenues, and the ratings will definitely be down if Trump isn't on the stage.  Megyn Kelly's undisguised dislike for Trump completely disqualifies her as a serious journalist, and Roger Ailes is a money-grubber who only gives us a few minutes of news because he has to have a little content in order to subject us to endless hours of commercial breaks.

Stand your ground, Donald.  Reagan skipped the last Iowa debate too, but I haven't heard anyone on Fox mention that.

;

Ailes is a slimeball. Some of the stuff on the Fox Entertainment Channel - is pure sleaze.

I've always thought it was odd that the Christian conservatives haven't made the connection, and will watch Fox News.

Even on the Fox News home page there's often - sleazy articles.

[ In Reply To ..]
Top trending video at this very moment on Fox News: "Playboy Playmates: We're nude models, not strippers." After you get past the headlines, FN looks a lot like The National Enquirer.

And then there was all that business about Ailes spying on employees and rivals, not just in England but his US newspapers too.

This is the man who thinks he's entitled under the laughable label of "journalism" to pick the winners and losers in the Presidential race.

Likes to show leg too. - Watch "The Five" - Kimberly Guilfoyle.

Always makes sure she's sitting on the end with the shortest skirt she can get away with, shaking her leg. Others as well.

Trump isn't wrong with his "bimbo" comment, because that's exactly what Ailes deliberately puts on the air, consistently. Then he doesn't like it when he's called on it.

The way they're bawling, you'd think Fox was a - bride jilted at the altar.

"He can't control us - we're the MEDIA", they puff.

Guess what? He is controlling the media, and he just ate Bill O'Reilly up and spit him out.

Never thought much about Trump, but I'm really starting to like this guy as a leader who refuses to be bushwhacked by Megyn Kelly or ambushed by Roger Ailes. Maybe he won't get bushwhacked by Putin, or ambushed by the Ayatollah the way some have who shall be nameless, but whose initials are Barack Obama.

Remember, before the first debate, when Kelly asked Trump questions that no one else got, there had been reports that Fox had been told by the RNC insiders to blow Trump out of the water. The insiders want to keep the club all to themselves. They've always called the shots with their money, and all of a sudden they're powerless because Trump doesn't need it.

They're bewildered. Baffled. They don't know what to do. They're beside themelves, literally dancing with fury.

There's a lot more going on beneath the surface here than meets the eye. The political process run by the insiders has been a pretty slimy game for a long, long time. All the other candidates on both sides of the aisle in this Presidential season are "playing by the rules" - the insider rules that have one and only one purpose, which is to keep THEM in power.

And you know what? I think that the best candidate for BOTH conservatives and liberals in this country who want to see the "insider monopoly" busted up is Trump, and I think what he will do will be good for everyone. He's not your daddy's Republican, or your momma's Democrat.

Trumps ugly nasty words about women disqualifies him. Why should M. Kelly ask the other candidates about ugly rhetoric against women when I doubt they have been stupid enough to say such things in public?

Trump is like a 3rd grade bully. He better gather his toys and go home.

funny-Trump snarks at everyone, but can't take it in return. - pfft

Trump should wear a snorkel with his flip-flops.

Uuuh, he's done 6 debates and he's taken as much - as he's given.

Yes, it's about the money. Just heard a media buyer say Fox - could lose $500,000 per ad minute.

[ In Reply To ..]
Hoping for $700,000 per minute, could drop to $200,000 per minute with ratings drop.

This also explains why these "debates" aren't debates at all - they're food fights, because that's what attracts viewers. Food fights and "gotcha questions."

A real debate would bore the modern audience to tears, and would be much longer because you couldn't just give candidates a few seconds to answer questions.

There's no point in watching any of these debates, really. They're just staged cage fights.

You said it - cage fights indeed. - anon

That's why I don't watch any debates - republican or democratic. I prefer to research each candidate's records, stance on issues, etc.
