today. It turns politics into a religion. Fascism is a religion of the state. It is totalitarian in that it views everything as political and holds that any action by the state is justified to achieve the common good.

It does not respect individuality. Look at what happens to leftists who do not believe in abortion.

They do not believe in natural law, traditional religion, constitutional liberty, capitalism, etc. They look to social "intellectuals" for guidance.

They throw away religion, tradition, classics and whatever else stands in the way of their quest for relentless human improvement through technology and social engineering. It leads to a vulgar cult of mediocrity and spoiled brats.

I read several books written by people who have lived under regimes like this, mostly Eastern European.

Last night I checked out heating bill - before bed - not a good idea - $418! Our usage DOUBLED apparently from last year's time frame - 21 cubic feet (or whatever the unit is) and now this year 48. No, wait - 48 is more than double 21. I'm going to check the meter.
