OK, Section 8 housing is defined as:
"The Housing Choice Voucher Program is a type of Federal assistance provided by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) dedicated to sponsoring subsidized housing for low-income families and individuals".
So, this is a type of government assistance program, right?
Does it seem a little odd that someone (who normally is against any type of government assistance such as welfare, handouts, etc) would think it's an acceptable way to profit from the system?
I'm thinking it's similar to Michelle Bachmann benefitting from the farm subsidies her family receives, all the while rants about government handouts and rants about how she wants to take the government back.
Sarah Palin benefit from free health care, but for some reason doesn't think others should have the same benefit.
Does this fall under "I can't make this stuff up"?
To me, it sounds like something a "bleeding heart" liberal like myself would do, but then......I don't get on a soapbox criticizing all welfare, health care reform, and other controversial government programs.
Am I missing something?
