Obama didn't negotiate the timeline for the withdrawal of the troops in Iraq, the Bush administration did, and credited the doing of it to the success of the surge and al-Qaeda's demise. Not surprisingly, conservative media wants to have it both ways. The right wing wants to credit Bush for the demise of al-Qaeda yet also now turn around and blame Obama that al-Qaeda's demise was somehow exaggerated by the current administration.

Al-Qaeda in Iraq is an indictment of the Bush administration, which falsely said it was going into Iraq because of a connection between al-Qaeda and Baghdad, that in fact did not exist. Ironically, by invading, weakening, occupying, and looting Iraq, Bush and Cheney brought al-Qaeda into the country and weakened the entire region, putting nothing in place of the system that they tore down except an electoral system that emphasized religious and ethnic divisions.

And now we have yet another attempt by right-wing media to blame the Obama administration for the failures of the Bush administration. How does this narrative square with the narrative that the surge by the Bush administration had caused the demise of al-Qaeda? So much so that it warranted the Status of Forces Agreement negotiated with Iraq for the complete withdrawal of troops by the end of 2011?

Remember the speech in December 2008 where Bush had shoes thrown at him? There was a surprise trip to Iraq to announce the signing of Bush's Status of Forces Agreement that contained the timeline to remove all U.S. troops by the end of 2011. After it's signing, Bush is on record admitting the U.S. invasion of Iraq had actually brought al-Qaeda into the region. When Bush was confronted by a reporter with the fact that al-Qaeda in Iraq did not exist until the U.S. invasion, he responds saying: "Yeah, that's right. So what?" (see link below)

In other news: Fringe right-wing media reports that bin Laden died in December 2001 of renal failure, denying any responsibility for the 9/11 attacks and stating that Americans should look inside their own country for the masterminds of the 9/11 hoax.

You can't make this stuff up. Oh, wait!

This type of propaganda technique is particularly vulgar and disturbing and one of the primary reasons the GOP and conservatives are often referred to as the Reich-Wing Party.

There'd be no need for this type of attack on her, and the far-right foot soldiers could relax. It's such a weak argument but not atypical of arguments we've seen before from the Reich-Wing fringe.

Perhaps Reince Priebus could take a page from the playbook of the "patriots" of his party and argue that Hillary is subhuman and that the Constitution has strict rules regarding the president being a human. Maybe not, though, as it would probably look fairly mental to most Americans, kind of like the birther movement and their ilk whining about the birthplace of President Obama.

Speaking of which, I didn't think anything I could ever hear from the fringe would be crazy enough to make the birthers appear to have even an iota of sanity, but this dehumanization propaganda actually seems crazier, and I stand corrected. :)
