Kudos to MSNBC, CNN, et al for standing up to the White House...

The White House specifically wanted to exclude Fox News from interviewing the pay czar while making him available to all the other outlets (oh, but the White House is NOT trying to silence Fox News...yeah, pull the other leg)....the managers of the other outlets got together and said if the White House did not allow Fox News an interview, they would not participate either. GOOD FOR THEM!! I am glad to know THEY believe in freedom of speech and the press EVEN if this administration DOES NOT.

Yes, Fox News is right wing and a lot of their programming is aimed at that. They are no more biased right than MSNBC is biased left. That is a fact. So why don't we just live and let live and stop the witch hunting.

And again...if this were a Republican administration and they were consciously and publically saying MSNBC was not a news organization and trying to freeze them out I would be just as aggravated. These are our freedoms, people. An NO administration, Democrat OR Republican, should be cheered for walking all over them.

And yes, if this were a John McCain administration doing the same thing to MSNBC, I would be saying John McCain was channeling Hugo Chavez. This is NOT about Barack Obama personally. This is about our Constitutionally-guaranteed freedoms being battered.

Again....kudos to the other outlets because this time they STOOD UP. They understand that if someone is allowed to do it Fox, they could do it to them, too, and they want the freedom of speech and freedom of the press preserved...for ALL. GOOD FOR THEM!! I give credit where it is due and these guys stood up.

the controversy. Well of course not. When you orchestrate it you aren't going to lose sleep over its implementation.

That being said, that female reporter (and I cannot remember her name right now) did keep pressing him about the admin attacks on Fox News and he hedged until he finally gave the "not losing sleep over it" comment...so kudos to her too, she kept on until he admitted he is okay with it.

an opinion show commentator suggesting someone freeze out a news outlet is nothing like the administration of the President of the United States, with his full knowledge and agreement, refusing press access to an interview. Remember freedom of the press, the Constitution...

Just because Bush and Co. did it and just because Obama meets with both liberals and conservatives doesn't mean there hasn't been changes...or does it? Hrm, Obama's people call out people who spread misinformation and that's not supposed to happen?
