NYC creates Id card so 500K illegal immigrants

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio signed into law a measure that creates a municipal identification card that can now be used by illegal immigrants to access government services, rent an apartment and open a bank account. “Today we’re living up to our highest ideals, and today we’re saying that no one should be left out,” said City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito, calling the signing of the bill into law an “historic” moment, the New York Daily News reported. Ms. Mark-Viverito, along with fellow council members Carlos Menchaca and Daniel Dromm — all Democrats — said the new ID card gives the city’s estimated 500,000 illegal immigrants the opportunity to open bank accounts and rent housing, and even take advantage of certain government services. ;

Columbusing is simply a term used for when white people claim to have discovered something that has actually already existed, you know, like Columbus "discovered" America. It is not an attack on "white culture," unless you have Columbused the word and then redefined it's meaning. Umm, I asked "why so negative all the time," and I joked that it was Obama's fault. It seems to me like a lot of conservatives are generally negative much of the time and also always seem to be able to blame EVERYTHING on Obama somehow or some way. Your last paragraph reflects what I have often wondered. I have come to the conclusion that for the anti-Obama folks it is a matter of if one thing doesn't work, try another. If you can't get attention saying that President Obama has the intelligence of a rock, then approach from the opposite angle. I would be interested in hearing from some of these people how he can be both.

As much as republicans love to complain about illegal immigrants, they certainly don't complain about cheap labor. They talk a big talk, but they're happy to have illegals picking strawberries 12 hours a day for the ag industry at pay no legal citizen would accept.
