From Politico:

"A House Energy and Commerce report out Tuesday is stocked with emails sent from private addresses and meetings scheduled away from the building to avoid official record. Among these are several sent to a pharmaceutical industry lobbyist by Messina, then President Barack Obama’s then-deputy White House chief of staff, making promises about language for the health care reforms despite the resistance of then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to the measure."

Didn't Obama say something about his administration would be the most transparent administration in history? Another lie from the Obama administration.

So they had a meeting away from the building? Hmmm. I have worked a few places where meetings were not held "in the building." Some of the reasons were, someone else was scheduled to use the conference room, sometimes meetings were at outside-agency office (kind of like Thanksgiving dinner, ya know), sometimes a "half-way point" was chosen due to logistics, sometimes the meeting was held in conjunction with a conference. As below, if the e-mail was private, why was it made public. Could it be because of internet connections for people who are traveling? Seems like a non-story to me.

Personally supervises the hours of the cleaning staff, the cleaners they use, the equipment, and probably makes them wear monitoring devices. After he does, this, he then prepares the menus for day and checks the maintenance schedule for the heating, plumbing, and groundswork of the White House. After he completes this, he then personally schedules and prepares itineraries/agendas for each of his staff members and their departments. After he prepares coffee for everyone, he then reads the daily nuclear update. He is a busy guy.

Like I said a little earlier, I haven't researched into this story yet, so I'm not positive, but my guess is that none of the Obama opponents are answering my question because they're tarring and feathering Obama for something that he had no idea about....not a nice or fair thing to do. I could be dead wrong, but I'd be shocked if Obama actually approved or instructed these secret emails correspondences.
