Just heard a retired colonel predict that the president won't be able to build a coalition because other world leaders don't trust him.

It is finally becoming apparent that Obama has been hiding his head in the sand - campaigning and golfing - while the CIA and the Pentagon have been trying to get him to move on ISIS as well as the other crises around the world - for awhile, they took it sitting down, but they aren't anymore - Obama can no longer hide behind Jarrett and his other "friends" that he surrounded himself with when he entered the white house - instead of bringing in people that could actually advise him, he brought in his friends - and everything around him is beginning to crack and will soon fall - hopefully, the US won't fall with him.

...and came up with a lot of right-wing blogs. I did some more googling and found out that Col Peters thinks we should execute Bowe Bergdahl and was roundly denounced by a group of bipartisan Congressional veterans. I'm not sure I'd trust him as a reliable source...he sounds very reactionary.

It was his opinion. Just like your opinion that he "sounds very reactionary." That is what is so great about America. We are all free to voice our opinions (for the time being). I'm sure you'll be able to uncover more about him or anyone else if you dig deep enough. But remember this, he's not under the microscope here. The Boy King is.
