Democratic Party divides come to forefront following midterm defeat

Posted: Nov 28, 2014

I actually find myself agreeing with Schumer for the first time (second paragraph).

There sure is a lot of in-fighting going on within the Donkey Party as demonstrated by the remainder of this piece.

to get as far away from this president as they can hoping to survive their own political mishaps. Check which ones are pulling away from the Obama policies and check this list to see if they're on it. :)

These are the Democrats up for re-election in 2016:
Michael Bennet (Colorado)
Richard Blumenthal (Connecticut)
Barbara Boxer (California)
Patrick Leahy (Vermont)
Barbara Mikulski (Maryland)
Patty Murray (Washington)
Harry Reid (Nevada)
Brian Schatz (Hawaii)
Charles Schumer (New York)
Ron Wyden (Oregon)

Are any of them running for office in - 2016? I don't think

any of them are viable.

Bill Clinton Says He's Surprised By Midterm LosesNov 16, 2014
"Former President Bill Clinton said Saturday that Democrats lacked a "national advertising campaign" in the recent midterm elections and that he's surprised many Senate races were not closer.  Clinton said in an interview with Politico that Republicans were helped by a larger bloc of voters who felt more strongly about the elections than members of his party. Democrats could have benefited from a national message that reinforced the party's positions on refinancing student loans a ...

Scott Walker: I Can Defeat ISIS Because I Defeated 100,000 Union ProtestersFeb 26, 2015
A few weeks ago, ABC News’ Martha Raddatz asked likely GOP presidential contender Scott Walker how he’d deal with the threat posed by the Islamic State terrorist group, also known as ISIS or ISIL. It did not go well. The Wisconsin governor mumbled something about the need for an “aggressive strategy,” which prompted Raddatz to ask what, specifically, that would entail. Walker then suggested “other surgical methods” beyond the airstrikes currently carried out by a U.S.-led coalition, ...

The Tea Party (disgusting And Full Of Vitrole And Hatred) Are Not The Republican Party HopefullyApr 17, 2011
I hope with everything I have in me that the Tea Party does not represent the Republican Party. This is what the Tea Party stands for. They are full of vitriole and hatred. This is not what the Republican party stands for. See comments by Republican Party of Orange County Chairman Scott Baugh, "It's just highly inappropriate, it's a despicable message, it drips with racism and I think she should step down from the committee," said Baugh. "Davenport, a tea party activist, represents t ...

17 Democratic senators: Stop these new ObamaCare taxes! Published by: Dan Calabrese on Thursday December 13th, 2012 By DAN CALABRESE - Never mind that we voted for them. Per my Michigan View/Detroit News editor Henry Payne, Democrats are shocked - shocked! - to discover that ObamaCare creates new taxes, and furthermore, that these new taxes will actually have a negative effect on those who are stuck paying them (not to mention their customers). I Do Not Understand The Democratic Way Of ThinkingOct 09, 2012
I have had numerous "debates" with some of my friends and family on the democratic way of thinking. They say republicans help the "rich get richer" and republicans are "greedy," etc. What I don't understand is how democrats cannot understand the simple concept that the rich will STAY rich no matter how many taxes they have to pay in. The "rich" are the ones who create the jobs. The oil companies (I will admit their profits are excessive), but they provide MANY jobs, corporate companies ...

Weird Democratic Strategy ...maybe? Jun 23, 2014
Has anyone else noticed the new Democrat strategy of trying to connect with the people in this country not making a million or more a year?  Hilary did the "we were broke when we left the White House" story and now Biden is thanking us for taking care of him? Nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing ANY politician does or says is not part of a grand scheme.  It just really angers me that they pretend to even start to know how it is to live paycheck to paycheck and want us to feel sorry ...

I think just how corrupt the democratic party is will soon be unveiled.  I honestly believe that it will go far further than anyone truly anticipates.  I believe there is an old adage, and my middle aged memory cannot recall it at present...point is, those who scream the loudest generally do so to hide their own guilt.  With the crap heaped upon Mr. Trump and his supporters on the part of the left, I'd say there is definite merit in this statement.  It is going to be ref ...

The Democratic Guiding Philosophy Is For Good Governance, Nov 05, 2012
From Mother Jones, a sensible view of the choice we need to make for the next 4 years, while the GOP hopefully comes to its senses and is once again willing to govern responsibly. What is the 2012 presidential election all about? It's about something far more mundane than the imminent death of Medicare or the ACA and far less hopeful than the return to a sane foreign policy or a humane immigration reform effort. Rather, the election is about good governance and the guiding philosophy th ...

Synagogues, and Mosques. Most houses of worship have been granted a full exemption from Obamacare's regulation mandating coverage of contraception and abortifacients, but Ed Whelan points out that new legislation unveiled by Senate Democrats yesterday could put that religious protection in jeopardy.
