Clinton crying "clot"

Posted: Dec 31, 2012

Over the last few days, I’ve heard every imaginable conspiracy theory concerning Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s disappearing act.  She hasn’t been seen in public for three weeks, the most “transparent administration in history” has been its usual, cagey, self, and now the rumors are starting to fly.

I’ve heard the CIA wants her dead.  I’ve heard the State department wants her out of the way.  I’ve heard the FBI and the administration are conspiring to do her in.  I’ve heard she’s a raging alcoholic who’s collapsed repeatedy, and of course, everyone has heard that she’s desperately hiding from a potentially disastrous Benghazi testimony.

One of the more outlandish claims came from crackpot “news” outlet, the Eutimes.com, which reported that "A new Foreign Military Intelligence (GRU) report circulating in the Kremlin today is saying that United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was injured, and a top US Navy Seal Commander killed when their C-12 Huron military passenger and transport aircraft crash landed nearly 3 weeks ago in the Iranian city of Ahvaz near the Iraqi border."

While we wait for real news regarding Clinton’s condition, the left has become absolutely apoplectic over the idea that people could so callously disregard the official narrative.  This woman is a national treasure, one of the smartest female politicians of the twentieth century, and her word is not to be doubted.

Sorry, but no.

Since it first appeared on the political stage, the name “Clinton” has been synonymous with lies, deceit, conspiracy, and corruption. Who could forget the bizarre death of Vince Foster, Sandy Berger’s theft of documents from the national archives, the scandals surrounding Gennifer Flowers and Monica Lewinsky, or the murder of Mary Caitrin Mahoney? These are some of the more famous names, but keep in mind they represent just the tip of an enormous iceberg.

The names and faces associated with Clinton cover-ups have formed an unparalleled tapestry of political transgression.   Meanwhile, the word “Clintonian” has come to be mean ‘masterful manipulation of language in order to hide the truth.”

It’s utterly laughable that the left is trying to claim some sort of moral high ground now that Hillary appears to be dodging the Benghazi scandal. The American people have been burned by Clinton-perpetrated falsehoods and conspiracies for two decades. Bill and Hillary were, in the words of Christopher Hitchens, “America’s worst family.”  Are we honestly supposed to believe that their nature changed the minute Bill left the White House?

Let’s be very clear here.  There’s no evidence to support any of the current crop of conspiracy theories.  Assuming the official story is the truth, we wish Secretary Clinton nothing but a full, speedy, recovery.  Hopefully, she'll be back on her feet soon.

However, if she’s languishing in hospital bed somewhere, wondering why people have a hard time swallowing the whole “clot” story, she should do herself a favor and pick up a little book called “The Boy Who Cried Wolf.”

Then, she should rest easy - secure in the knowledge that we’ll be here - still waiting to hear why she left four Americans to die at the hands of Benghazi terrorists.

I just posted the link since the person who posted it (maybe you?) didn't think it was important to give the author credit. There's a name for that and technically it's against the law.
why the jab? - well, because
[ In Reply To ..]
if I (yes it was ME) had posted the link, I would have gotten the same jab in return..."not a *credible* source, etc. Nothing on the rules of this board, except your own personal one, that says a link MUST be posted to the source. If I feel the source is just going to be criticised, I will not post it, and you can threaten all you want with it "being against the law." Go for it...sue me for posting an article without placing a post to the article. Good luck making that hold up in a court of law! ha ha. {{{I'm shakin'}}!! There are some others on this board that agree with the article...just because you don't does not mean it is not *credible*. Threatening someone is also against the law. :-) Happppy New Year.
Could you please show us - where bootstraps
[ In Reply To ..]
threatened you personally? She simply stated there is a name for not crediting a source and that there are laws against it. Are you always this personally intimidated by factual statements?

Let's be clear here. Relentless hate campaigns against a highly respected politician that span decades not only reflect very poorly on the perpetrators, but they also help undermine the credibility of the entire party who engages in such vapid political rhetoric. Political slime such as this is the stuff losers are made of. Oh, BTW, speaking of losers, even Herman Cain does not take Herman Cain seriously.

Since I can't afford to go out and party, I am quite content to stay at home and celebrate this predictable last-minute cliff fix, my BFF's 10th year of sobriety, our household's tight budget that won't be shrinking, and the roof over my unemployed sister's head, which she can now continue to maintain until her new job starts in March.

Breathing a huge sigh of relief here.

Got wrapped up in Kathy and Anderson and their antics.

OP, why not search and read to be informed? Many - conservatives find much truth to
[ In Reply To ..]
support their positions. They don't need to resort to believing and spreading misinformation, and--please note--they wouldn't dream of it.

Most of my friends are conservatives. I disagree strongly with them on some issues, but in so many cases have to agree that they do have valid positions. Where we disagree isn't on the effects of, say, a tax increase, a little reading pretty much tacks that down, but on the sets of costs and benefits to each action that we find desirable.

I can accept a conservative who agrees cutting social programs will cause some families to live under freeway overpasses but whose ideology makes that an acceptable cost for a stronger, healthier (in their minds) and more dynamic nation. I can't accept one whose contribution to the conversation is something like, "Obama's trying to destroy the country,", "all Democrats do is lie," "Hillary makes me want to vomit." Or something. Huh?

There ARE valid conservative positions supported by facts and good common sense. Tons of 'em. For those who know what they are.

Excellent post. - I predict memory loss.

MTs politicizing dehydration, intractable vomiting, loss of consciousness, head injury, concussion, and epidural hematoma/clotting, often associated with increased intracranial pressure and stroke? There are simply no words to express how offensive this is, but clearly the only ones shamed by this behavior are those launching these attacks, not their target.

What possible political gain do you think you can accomplish by demonizing a 65-year-old woman dealing with these serious medical issues? Is this what it takes these days to rally your pathetic party base? Really? Guess we need a couple of more election cycles before it sinks in that these low-down-and-dirty tactics helped tank their candidates in November.

[ In Reply To ..]
not her head...so no intracranial pressure and stroke from this one. She "demonized" herself a long time ago with her acts of treason against her own country, shameful sexual acts of her husband/president who was impeached and refused to leave office because of it, hiding subpoenaed documents to protect their own special interests...etc. Tactics did not tank the other candidates in the past so-called election...bribery by the present elected did. Pretty sad when you have to pay off people in order to have what you want. Now THAT was "political gain." hmmm.

Didn't make it past the false premise. Clot is epidural. - You heard wrong.

[ In Reply To ..]
Epidural hematomas are typically observed in the ICU, treated with IV blood thinners, then transferred to a regular floor for IV weaning to oral meds....all as a precautionary measures to mitigate the very real threat of stroke. The risk is increased in patients who have a past history of clotting issues, which HC does. The knee clot you heard about occurred in 1998.

No matter how hard you try to discredit the Clintons, their legacy will remain one of deep respect, not only stateside, but across the globe. Even Mitt Romney had the good sense to recognize the esteem earned by the Clinton Global Initiative, which he manifested when he graced their September conference with his presence and spoke about a "foreign aid overhaul."
global initiative... - yeah..that's why
[ In Reply To ..]
the USA, as well as pretty much the rest of the world is in full decline. It started the day HE/SHE took office and has continued ever since because she still remains in office of some sort and views herself as "saving the world" when actually just the opposite is true. HE/SHE was absolutely the worst president ever and there is no esteem left for this country because of them. I don't need to try to discredit them...they have already done that, except in your eyes and those like you who cannot see the truth through the wool over your eyes.
Really? What then do you suppose explains Rupert Murdoch's and - W's CGI participation?
[ In Reply To ..]
So let me get this straight. You think a highly successful non-profit charity foundation, FULLY FUNDED by donations from individuals, organizations, corporations, and governments, that successfully promotes bipartisan and multicultural policy changes for the following causes is the reason the world is in full decline. You find focusing on such broad goals as religious, ethnic and racial tolerance, economic development, access to effective healthcare, and public, private and civil sector leadership development somehow threatening. Is that what you're saying? If so, then I'd like to hear your ideas on how to better address such initiatives as:

1. Containment of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria via globally coordinated and integrated care, treatment, and prevention efforts, including marginal target populations living in remote regions. W enthusiastically contributes to this effort.
2. Jobs creation and matching with the unemployed.
3. Improving access to economic development, healthcare and educational technologies.
4. Market-based solutions to poverty.
5. Equal opportunities for women, and protection of female children from cultural practices such as genital circumcision/mutilation, arranged marriage, honor killings, and legislatively sanctioned domestic abuse.
6. Population control/sustainable growth.
7. Large-scale gross violations of human rights.
8. Energy conservation and climate change policies.
9. Promotion of cost-free peace over budget-killing wars.
10. Hunger/food security and integrity; conversely, Western childhood obesity epidemic that produces a lifetime of related health problems and healthcare expenses.
11. Clean water and sanitary waste disposal.
12. Stabilization of equal economic opportunities through entrepreneurial mentoring and skills enhancement programs that address urban poverty and the crime that results from it.
13. Disaster relief, another effort both Bushes support.
14. The plight of homeless, refugee and displaced populations.

Assuming these critical imperatives do not land in the GOP's "do nothing" outbox, what specific suggestions would you make to improve the Clinton Foundation's efforts. Please be specific.
What does - Rupert Murdock
[ In Reply To ..]
have to do with the Clinton administration? He is just a wealthy non-American born person who "inherited" his wealth from his father and thinks because he is wealthy, he can "reform" America. My views on "W" are the same. All wealthy *******s who think their way is the only way. My suggestion is to remove any and all people named Clinton from office immediately, reverse everything they ever did to benefit themselves, and start over from scratch. We might then have a govt that "listens to the people" instead of investing in payoff groups to specialist groups who are more interested in greedily "inheriting" more money from the general public instead of "earning" their own through their own efforts. I don't see much on this "lengthy list" you provided that actually does any good for the middle class America, but only to "special interest groups." JMO.

just because my thought process comes up with a different outcome than yours does not mean I am wrong, crazy (oh, thank you very much), delusional or whatever you choose to call me these days. My "opinions" are just as valid as anybody elses, and my sources are my own choice, not yours. There is nothing on this board of rules that says we can all only get our sources from one place and one place only. If YOU don't happen to like the source...tough noogies. I don't like yours either, but I don't browbeat you into the ground for having to listen to your choice of sources. Obviously it is YOU who cannot seem to think for oneself, but follow the leader blindly saying "I agree, I agree, I agree." Now that is really "smart" isn't it? boot lickers are us. ha ha.
