Another lie regarding the enrollments on Medicaid
Posted: Jan 17, 2014
386,000 as opposed to 4 million? I'd call that a big lie, Mr. Presidente. Wouldn't you? Do you even know the meaning of the word?

keeping yelling about? You know, the one where they say millions of people have lost their insurance because of Obamacare? I would love to see this broke down by how many converted to a better policy, how many went to Medicare or VA, how many are recently changed employers, etc. When I have asked for those details, I am just directed to the T-party echochamber that never answers the question.
No, the lie of, "If you like your plan, you can..." - sm

...with their plan. If they were happy, why were they FORCED to go onto ACA or Medicaid in some cases? Why is our freedom being thwarted here? That is the big question you don't seem to get. A loss of liberty. How much plainer can it be?
I would like to know where that figure comes from - Not Fox - nm

Who is collecting that data? How are they doing it? Policy conversions? Medicare eligible? How are they verifying the data is correct? Who was "forced?" List please.
I saw an Americans for Prosperity (Koch bros. I believe) commercial where they had a guy saying he had a heart attack and lost his policy because of Obamacare. Now don't you think the fact that now insurance companies can no longer kick people off policies because of pre-existing conditions or charge them exorbitant rates like they did pre-Obamacare that this guy is just plain "not being completely truthful?" For some reason, this guy is not giving any interviews to back up these statements. Why would that be?

Washington Times, Daily Finance, etc. Just google it.
Uh-oh. Careful. I told someone to read a paper and got deleted. - They like you to spoon feed.
I do not need more made up numbers - source documents

Anyone can say anything and it gets repeated. Who collected, where did they get it, what is their expertise? Certainly you can enlighten us. How many cancelled so they could get a better policy, how many policies were non-compliant, how many people shifted to Medicare or VA? Is that so difficult? How many of these ex-policy holders are now deceased? I know it is a lot easier just to say "6 million".
Then why ask for sources if you don't believe us? - Enough already. Quit arguing.
The Washington Post "reports" - Guess it does not exist.

Here is how it goes. . . a reporter does an interview, researches the statement and should let the reader know where the information is coming from. Is it coming from the Bureau of Labor statistics? Is it coming from the NRA? Is it coming from the US Chamber of Commerce? Then, how did they collect it? What are the strengths and weaknesses of the statements? Can they be backed up? I am not interested an opinion or a blog. I am interested in facts.

I (WE) will never concede on this. You will eventually see the light. It may not be today or tomorrow, but rest assured, you WILL see the light before long. Hint: Follow news sources other than your usual and open your eyes. I will not respond further on this because you obviously want to continue to argue and I choose not to do that.
Thanks for the DNC buzz word "junk plan". My plan was not "junk" - And neither was 6 million others plans

Now we are without ANYTHING. Are you happy about that? Seems like it.
Can posters please come up with something else than what MSNBC pukes up.
My sister was happy with hers too - POOF!! - It was NOT junk.
The truth is that the plans right now are junk plans - Besides....

What good does insurance do when you can't get an appointment when you need one, the doctors you used to go to are not in business anymore, the best of the best hospitals (ya know, like the "you will get the same exact level of health care I get" stunt) refuse to accept you if you have ODC. You can't get the prescriptions you need, etc, etc, etc.
You are so wrong. - sm

My policy is accepted by all UCLA doctors and facilities; the only place I would want to go if I had a serious illness. My prescriptions are also covered, and appointments with my doctor are easily scheduled. Are you are speaking from personal experience or just regurgitating right wing "talking points?"
Do you realize you are - IN A MINORITY?

Do you even care about the rest of the United States citizens?
I am not in a minority, I am in California. - sm

Of course I care. I would prefer a single-payer system that provides health care for every single United States citizen. By the way, not all plans canceled were "junk" plans, many were "Cadillac" plans offered by large corporations and subsidized by the government in the form of pretax dollars.
Your preferences are in the minority. - I'm in California, too.
Was not a lie - Why comment on things you don't know?

In my state over 70K people's policies were cancelled because OC. We don't have new policies or Medicare or VA. We are "s" out of luck.
It does not matter whether or not you would be provided with the numbers or details. If you don't want to believe it and think that OC is all sugar and spice everything nice, sugar plums, fairies, unicorns and pixie dust that is what you will believe and no matter how many facts are presented to you, you will refuse to believe them and think there is some kind of conspiracy.
All I know is my state is a mess and all of us who used to have insurance before this and were happy with our plan got notices and now we don't have anything.
If you really want to know the truth I'm sure you know how to Google it. They key is to read from independent sites. Don't just stick with the liberal ones. You will never get to the truth.
Very well said. - sm

My state is a mess, too, as well as other states I hear about from family and friends. Thank you for very politely stating the truth! I will not be signing my moniker because it tends to incite people lately.

Tired of being attacked and ridiculed and then when I say something back they report me. Tired of people thinking that giving our opinion on issues means we are picking on posters.
So just easier to post without the moniker.
