I noticed doing HPs that a big percentage of seniors have magnesium deficiency and also a vitamin D deficiency so I started taking a mag supplement 500 qhs. My blood pressure at that time was running around 145/90, not on any BP meds. I hadn't been to the doc since starting to take it about a year ago, and just this past 2 weeks had 3 doctor's appts for different things. My BP is down to 120-130/70-80. I was trying to think what may have lowered it since I'm under a much bigger stress load and the mag was the only thing I have changed so I googled it and there have been studies that link mag deficiency with high BP. Also suggests using calcium supplement at the same time because together they may lower it even more. I'm pretty excited!
