You'll change your mind about the vaccine.

not the H1N1 - KYMT#2

That wasn't the H1N1, it was the regular seasonal flu shot.

Most vaccines, including the seasonal flu, carry a very slight risk of serious side effects (Guillain-Barre, etc).

still unsure about it - mom mt

My mother in law keeps calling me every week to see if we have gotten this for my kids. She wants us to get this and the flu shot. We never usually get these as insurance dosen't cover them for us and I really cannot afford it for all the kids because things are tight! She makes me feel so bad about it, but on the other hand I kind of wanted to wait it out a little bit. The swine flu has been around for months and even hit one of my kid's classroom. Plus the flu shot might not prevent the disease at all! I will have to read more about it. So until I find the time to do that my mother in law will still keep calling and telling me about the sick children in the hospital.

I would get it - LK

First off, the shot may be free or very inexpensive. The actual vaccine is being distributed for free, your health care provider may charge something to give the shot, but may not be much. What I am concerned about is the number of deaths among children, and at least half of them had no underlying health problems and were healthy before getting the flu. We don't have access to the vaccine in my state yet, but as soon as it's available, my 2 college age daughters will be getting it, and so will I, as I have a respiratory condition that makes me very susceptible to pneumonia.

It would have been included in the regular flur vaccine but - sm

It wasn't discovered in time.

It is not a new or untested vaccine. It is the same recipe that we use for the regular flu vaccine, just a different strain.

Next year, it will be included.

So much misinformation out there.

Recall Of H1N1 Vaccine In Canada Causing Allergic Reactions.Nov 24, 2009
http://abcnews.go.com/Health/wireStory?id=9164033 I have read a "few" reports that this H1N1 flu was a conspiracy (lab made) which would then cause to give the vaccine in order to try and kill as many people as possible because we do not need an over populated world and it would then try and cause a one world order.    Also read reports where the flu is mutating.  Tamiflu resistant in some patients and Ukraine and Iowa are having problems where they are seeing patients with bla ...

H1N1 ReactionsDec 14, 2009
Does anyone know of someone who got the H1N1 vaccine and had a serious reaction to it?  A few months ago, our school sent home a form for parents to fill out if they wanted their child to receive the H1N1 vaccine through the school if/when they got the vaccine.  At the time, I decided to have them get it.  I filled out the form and sent it in, but I've been thinking a lot about it since then.  There have been more reports of serious reactions to it, including some pretty ...

Free Shingles Vaccine From MerckJan 30, 2013
