Our golden retriever, Samson, was 12-1/2 years old. He's meant so much to our family. They discovered a tumor a year ago that we chose not to explore because he had renal failure and the anesthesia could have killed him. Evidently it metastasized to his brain and possibly his spine, and a few days ago he lost the use of his hind legs. Last night he started having seizures.
