offshoring needs to be abolished

Posted: Apr 4, 2015

I would like to see offshore work not happen and keep jobs in USA.  I know this is a big request but it was heavy on my chest today and had to vent.   Our government standards are going downhill, so sad.  Well just had to vent.

Start/keep inundating your representatives in Washington to bring this entire issue before Congress ...!

by our own president, there is not much hope left, especially with his threats of executive action on this or that. Remember also, he wants more illegals here to take more American jobs.

This is political and does not belong here - present president not responsible

for the off shoring, started way before him. Get your facts straight and then post where this belongs.

Don't issue orders at me! - sm

I was answering the post above mine about writing congressional reps. I stated my opinion. Accept the fact that it doesn't agree with yours. If the moderator wants to move my post, so be it. It's not your call. Have a nice day.
Still political themed - Say what I want

You don't like the theme, skip the post - and stop telling others what they can or cannot write about.

things have their own board. I stay away from there because I don't care who is your president or mine, there is no way that I smear the name of the leader of the US, never and seems like that is the place to be if others want to.
What is your moniker "Board Bully" - Get your own story straight

Not interested in your assessment of the president, what you do or do not do...still not taking orders from you.

there is also an offshore concerns board. - I dont think it goes to the gab board

Excuse me, do you remember Clinton and - NAFTA?

It all started with that. Pushed by Republicans (who care only about business, not workers). Obama has absolutely nothing to do with the present off-shoring situation.
These posts have not been moved so - I'll bite. sm

Just how exactly does Obama "carry a lot of the blame" for work being off-shored? As I recall, this started many, many years ago as part of NAFTA, and had nothing to do with the Obama administration at all. I am not such a big fan of O, but I believe he would definitely stop it if he could; however, Congress (R) is never going to allow that as long as they are the majority.

I am afraid you can blame Obama for many things, but definitely not this. As long as we are getting "facts straight," please enlighten me with YOUR facts as to how Obama carries any blame for off-shoring.

Obama is not responsible for offshoring; the rest is just - fear mongering.

Obama And Offshoring...Nov 04, 2010
Apparently he and his cronies are not against ALL offshoring.  This took place shortly after he took office:   Is Obama the Offshore Outsourcing President? Yesterday Obama nominated the most notorious offshore outsourcing Senate advocate, Judd Gregg, for Commerce Secretary. Today global labor arbitrage and offshore outsourcing expert, expert, Dr. Ron Hira, spells out the hidden multinational corporate offshore outsourcing agenda in an op-ed, The Obama administration promotes ou ...

Romney from 3rd debate transcript on China: "they (China) have to manufacture goods and put people to work and they have about 20,000 -- 20 million, rather, people coming out of the farms every year coming into the cities, needing jobs. So they (China) want the economy to work and the world to be free and open. And so we can be a partner with China. We don't have to be an adversary in any way, shape or form. We can work with them, we can collaborate with them, if they're willing to b ...

What Happened To The End Of Offshoring Act? Jun 13, 2017
There is no greater contempt for Americans than to offshore our jobs to China and India, and then award these companies who do it with big government contracts paid by the American taxpayers.  What happened to the NAFTA renegotiations?  What happened to the 35% penalties promised?  Over 60 executive orders signed during the first 100 days and Trump has the power to do this, but does not.  What gives?  He campaigned on this promise.  Is this another campaign pro ...

Outsourcing, Offshoring Debate Jun 26, 2012
This article explains how it is not just offshoring that is detrimental to our jobs.  Outsourcing jobs within the US is becoming increasingly common and leads to lower wages and fewer people with benefits.  Sounds like MTSOs accepting work from big MT companies and then hiring ICs to do the work at low wages with no benefits. ...

More And More People Are Realizing The Danger Of OffshoringSep 19, 2013
If this gets pushed in my face, I will definitely state that it's NOBODY'S business and simply refuse to answer.  Or, maybe ask my own doctor to keep private records of her own, with my real information in it. If doctors are already fed up with this crap, and stating that your information will not be confidential, that's pretty much telling me what I need to know.  Anything that's done overseas is guaranteed not safe, so I'll have to protect myself and my info ...
