men and bath products

Posted: Dec 16, 2010

I was just in our main bathroom upstairs and the shower curtain was pulled open.  There are three guys that use that bathroom, my sons age 17 and 20 and one of their friends who is staying with us age 21.  I counted 9 bottles of product in the bathtub.  I could use a set of shelves in there for them to keep all their shampoo, conditioners, body wash, etc.  That does not even count the products around the sink and in the medicine cabinet for out of the shower.  I think men are worse then women!  Of course, I live with a LOT of testosterone in this house, even the dogs are males.  I am the lone female.  I just had to laugh when I saw 9 bottles of product!! LOL

but for me that knows his little secrects, he is the biggest priss. My boys are just like his, 7 and 9. When they take a bath, they want to use daddy's soap that "smells good". The hair products are the worst. I don't even try to buy those for him anymore. His mom is a hair dresser, and he said he didn't know what to think when he married me and I had brough home White Rain. He let me know real quick that he wasn't using that stuff. So, for the last 13 years, his mom has been getting our shampoos for us at the supply house.

The men in my life have even used up all my Caress Body Wash! - NKC

They ran out of their stuff and started using mine! I guess men like to have soft and silky skin too!

Of course, they deny it! But the skin don't lie! LOL

That's a PLUS - Love It

I think it's great when men care so much about cleanliness and want to smell good! Nothing turns me off more than a man who isn't clean! (Or ANYONE, for that matter!) Nine bottles? LOL!

How Many Times Can You Use A Bath Towel Before It Needs To Be Washed?Jun 04, 2015
Women's Health May 31, 2015 Solve a household debate: How many times can you use a towel before having to wash it? Three or four, say consumer and environmental health agencies. Any longer and towels can breed bacteria and mold. Hang your towels properly: Spread them out on the rack (not bunched up) so they dry thoroughly. Before taking a shower, open the door and, if you have one, turn on the bathroom fan while bathing, so the air is less humid. —Keri Petersen, M.D., internal ...

Has Anyone Tried Any Of The AZO Products, Specifically Go Less?Jul 26, 2017
I have been having a problem with frequent urination. In the past, I would have frequency a couple of days leading up to and a couple of days during my period and then it would go away. Everything would return to normal. Now I’m perimenopausal and haven’t had a period in several months; however, I have been having frequency all of the time. I’m not sure if it is a side effect of menopause or not, but it is driving me crazy and it’s starting to affect my sleep. I have to get up three ...

Anyone Use Jane Iredale Products?Jul 14, 2011
I need some new makeup and my aesthetician is going to start carrying this brand exclusively.  Has anyone here tried it?  It's natural and supposedly all mineral-based but I'm wondering if it's worth the price (it's quite a bit more costly than even Bare Minerals, which in my opinion is getting pretty steep).  Before investing in it, I thought I'd see if any of the ladies here had any first-hand experience with it.  I have sensitive skin and get sebor ...

What Skin Products Do You Ladies Use?Feb 04, 2013
I have older (40) skin that is acne prone. I'm looking for a skin product that doesn't over dry as acne products can sometimes do because my skin is older and now wrinkle prone too. I use neutrogena moisturizer, aveeno dry skin oatmeal bar, and retin A. I only wear foundation maybe once or twice a week (neutrogena). I know it's the products that are causing me to break out because I used to use Rhonda Allison and didn't break out, my skin looked great, however, Rhonda All ...

What Are Some Of Your Favorite Hair/skin/makeup Products?Mar 20, 2012
Right now I am really loving Renpure's hair products.  I've been using their shampoo and conditioner (and have gotten 3 compliments on the health of my hair), but only just recently tried their Argan oil treatment.  LOVE. As far as daily defrizzer:  I've long been a fan of Paul Mitchell's (smells ever so slightly of green apple), but after many years my bottle finally ran out.  I'd seen a promo of Bumble  and Bumble's defrizz tx in Oprah ...
