i think i just ticked off my roommate

Posted: Nov 22, 2011

my roommate's father passed a month ago and he has been trying to take care of stuff his dad wanted done...one includes the dad's dog (who is a dear boxer)...now roomie has been staying in berkeley at dad's house trying to get things in order with the apartments and the other stuff, but the brother brought a lawsuit saying he is living there and getting all the benefits (brother is a heroine addict)...sooooo, roomie turned in the dog to ARF this morning and i called ARF saying i want the dog...he was crying last night about turning tommy over to strangers and i feel that i have enough room in my home to take care of tommy in his old age...should i do this???

Confused about why he is ticked? - Think that would be a good thing

I also think it would be a good thing. - Did you ask him if he was mad about it?

It could be he thought you were undermining his decision. It is an emotional time for him, obviously, and it sounds like he has a lot to deal with. Getting a deceased family member's affairs in order is tough enough (trust me), but a brother suing him on top of it?!? Talk to Roomie when he is calmer. Hopefully everything will turn out okay between you two and he will let you take in Tommy. It always breaks my heart to see older dogs in shelters. IMO, you would be doing a wonderful thing.

i think i just ticked off my roommate - just sad for the dog

the problem is that Tommy is a sweet dog, named after my roomies brother who was killed in SF...too many memories for him and he and his father never really got along...tolerated each other, but the thing is, his mom and i were dear friends and she asked me to make sure her son would always have a place to live and i feel obligated to include the dog...because of the sentimental thing...

Totally agree with you/NM - Christine

he's not mad about it, he just wants to divest himself of his father's stuff...has offered to donate the apartment building and homes to charity unless someone buys him out to...i guess i can just hope for the best with the dog...

What Really Gets Me Ticked Off!Oct 17, 2013
Several years ago I went to a local box store, not the WM, and bought some Christmas items. Before I got home my cell phone was ringing and when I got home I had an email from BOA. They had shut down my account thinking "because I normally did not shop at this store, it was not me buying." Today someone has hacked my debit card at another big store but looks like this was a telephone order and it was not me. This put me in the red for almost $1,000.00. Now, I have coverage to where I am not goin ...

Sen, Feinstein A Wee Bit Ticked Because The Intelligence CommitteeNov 13, 2012
Committee was not informed of the FBI investigation. What the heck is going on with the government? None of the various departments seem to work together anymore. They keep all info to their own department. No cooperation with each other. Why do they even have an Intelligence Committee if they aren't kept informed of situations? Why did this Kelley woman get an almost instant FBI investigation? Because SHE's got an in with the FBI. Me thinks Kelley woman may have a grudge ag ...

So Ticked! Just Read On Facebook Grown Daughter Jan 21, 2010
got fined $685.00, for what I have yet to find out. She drinks too much and she smokes marijuana. i have tried repeatedly to talk with her about the effects of heavy drinking on the body but she is not listening. I told hubs I was hoping she would be stopped while buzzed and have her car impounded and have the license revoked for awhile. She has a really good job and makes excellent money but yet she wants to get caught in public doing something illegal. Maybe if she has to keep paying fines suc ...

Kate Steinle Family Ticked With TrumpJul 14, 2015
The brother is really miffed at Trump for USING his family's tragedy in his political circus without any personal contact whatsoever.     This is the sort of hair-brained, shoot from the hip, sensationalism you will get with Trump.  I don't think he stands a snowballs chance, but in case the Conservatives really are crazy enough to nominate him and for some reason there is a solar eclipse and the world goes dark for election day and he is elected....this is the sort o ...
