Ricky Martin Gay Bombshell

After years of fighting off rumors about his sexuality, Latin singer Ricky Martin has finally just posted the following message on his official Web site, coming out and telling the world he is gay.

"Today is my day, this is my time, and this is my moment. These years in silence and reflection made me stronger and reminded me that acceptance has to come from within and that this kind of truth gives me the power to conquer emotions I didn't even know existed ... I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am," he wrote.

...and while I respect everyone's right to privacy and detest the movement to force "out" the closeted folks into the public eye, someone coming to terms with this and choosing to be honest about it is always a positive step in the long run, whatever the immediate consequences. Good for him.

This is about as surprising as when Rosie O'Donnell came out as gay...no surprise there either. Good for him though, no sense in denying what the rest of the world already knew. Besides, no man that looks as good as he does could possibly be straight, just sayin'!

Ain't that the truth, though! So many of the good looking, well dressed, put-together looking guys seem to be gay. Another case in point is Anderson Cooper. He always looks so darn perfect! And Adam Lambert - what a good-looking guy. And Clinton on "What Not to Wear." So perfect looking all the time. Wish I could put myself together that well.
