Okay, this is weird

Okay, every now and then, I request an Email that someone has responded to a post I initiated. Lately (twice in the last week or so), I have received an e-mail that someone has responded, but when I go directly to the forum, the response is not there. I CAN click on it from the Email and read the response, but it's not on the forum. I thought maybe the Email was preceding the response, but I've gone back several times, and it's not on the forum--from my view, anyway. I wonder if it has to do with the Rich Text vs Plain Text. And how annoying is that? I've typed a whole note, then find out it was supposed to have been in Plain Text, when there was no option as such on my post. Don't know if that's related to the problem, but...;
