KFC Double-Down?

I saw a commercial for this sandwich and have become obsessed with trying it, so my husband just left to go get us one.

Anyone try it yet?

I'm not even into fast foods per se, but there was just something that looked really good about this one. I'm going to try the grilled.

And...I'll probably whine for HOURS about how I shouldn't have eaten it because it was too rich and made me sick to my stomach...my poor husband, lol!

Anyway, just curious if anyone else had tried one and what they thought.

I read somewhere there was a big fuss about it because it was one of the most unhealthiest fast food choices on the market right now, something like 2 days worth of saturated fat (or something).

I rarely go to fast food at all, but I really like KFCs meal bowls

Nutrition wise. I looked it up and there's only about 100 calories difference between the grilled and the fried, and more sodium in the grilled than the fried. It's definitely not a healthy choice (except maybe for Atkins devotees?) even going grilled.

I'm thinking maybe I'll do the wise thing and eat half of it and see how much of a GI nightmare it is before I venture further, lol!

They take 2 large boneless chicken breasts. They slap a piece of cheese between them and call it a sandwich. Its a greasy mess to eat out of the paper sleeve, would be easier to put on a plate and eat with a fork. Goofy idea that is unlikely to be a popular product. I hope some fool doesn't market it with burgers next.

I sorta became obsessed with it too once I saw it. It's not something I would eat on a regular basis, but I had to try it, so I split one with my husband. It was pretty darn good.

I enjoyed it but something I'll probably only get rarely - RubySoho

I got the grilled version and, while it was good, I was expecting it to be a bit more spicy for some reason. I shared a bite with the puppies, and they seemed to enjoy it too, lol!

When my state voted on whether or not to be a right-to-work state, I had so many democrats yells at me and tell me that if I didn't like unions, I should look for a job elsewhere.
