A community of 30,000 US Transcriptionist serving Medical Transcription Industry

I have decided that if I win the lottery....

Posted: Nov 27, 2012

I am going to set-up a new transcription company.  My clients will have to go with one form used across the board for every one of the notes done no matter what they are.
For ESL folks, their cost to me would be more than those who speak English well.  We would have an action committee where ALL people would be heard and management would require answering all employees issues within a set amount of time.

The MT's will actually get paid what they are worth.  Supervisors will be given their performance evals by the people they supervise.  This will count heavily when raise time comes and yes, there will be cost of living adjustments to employees, not necessarily to management.  This would be performance based 100%.  There would be a sign-on for every "acute care" MT who can do anything they get up from the pool.

Okay, I just woke up...back to reality!!!!  :)

Do you have to win the - lottery to do that?

If we brought this industry to their knees by stopping work, we could create.

I am not being facetious when I respond to you. This should be on the main board.

Everything in reality now was once in someone's imagination, even the corporate execs stealing our pay.

I intend to take a world cruise as therapy for withdrawal from MT. - nm

in all the major newspapers about the downfall of this profession. Of course I would need help from all of the professionals left in this field with this and include their opinions. I would then seek out 5 MTs with good insight into MTing and ask the president if we could have a sitdown and have a beer or 2 on the veranda so we could discuss the important issues and downfall of this industry and address offshoring in this profession. I would bring the beer and chips;-) (No political slamming responses here, please). Heck, I would even offer to throw in a little toward the natioanl debt if he would agree to pass legislation to stop offshoring medical records for VR or transcription. I would then buy out a big MTSO, hire the best MTs I could possibly find and treat them with respect and make sure they could make an honest living with lots of benefits to the loyal. I seriously would remain hands on cuz I can't stand idle time (like the wasted time I face working for MTSOs and sitting with NJAs). I, along with most MTs, just want to put in honest work for honest pay.

I just woke up from my dream too. DANG!

May I pleeeze work for you! - bshel

I would pay off debt and then properly fund my other business so I wouldn't have to do MT to make ends meet.

Governments found a way to tax dreams: they took over lotteries.

Lottery/tax QOct 17, 2009
No I did NOT win the lottery but I was just wondering... If a person was to win the lottery, say about 5 mil, I know that they have to pay taxes when they get the money, but do they have to pay taxes on it every year like an income.  Say I won 5 mil and quit my job and let most of it sit in a bank.  Would I have to pay an annual tax on that money or would I only have to pay that 1 time when I first got the money?  This is assuming I just kept my 5 mil in a regular old savings/chec ...

Instant Lottery TicketsJun 10, 2010
In March I began buying instant lottery tickets at a shop in one of the malls where I live.  I was lucky at first, nothing major.   I won $40.00 on a $5.00 ticket.  Then I won $50.00 on a $5.00 ticket, and I won $10.00 on a $.500 ticket.  That went on for a few weeks.  Now I can't win anything to save my life.  It can be addicting.  I have really cut down on what I am spending, but it is tempting.  Do any of you have much luck?  I think ...

The American Legislative Exchange Council is made up of a bunch of extremely wealthy individuals and corporations, including the Koch brothers. If you feel like reading, great. If not, fine.  This was written by Matt Lewis. Chris Matthews' Documentary 'Rise of the New Right': A Curveball From the Left If MSNBC was looking to officially become the cable channel of the far left, it may have finally succeeded Wednesday night with the airing of Chris Matthews' documentary "The Rise of The New Right." MSNBC -- the network whose hosts routinely mock Tea Party activists as "Tea Baggers" -- aggressively promoted th ...
